Does anyone actually think that Donald Trump would make a good President?

There's been a lot of Trump support recently on the boards, but it's almost always been couched in anti-liberal rhetoric - along the lines of "I like Trump because he makes liberals upset". I have yet to see anyone put there cards on the table and publicly state that they think he would be a good President.

So here we go. Let's here some positive things about Donald Trump from the resident supporters.

What qualities does Donald Trump have that would make him a good President?
(1) He's NOT a professional politician
(2) He's a businessman
(3) He has no visions of creating power or control
(4) He wants Illegals out of this country
(5) He wouldn't play "politics as usual"
(6) He doesn't owe Wall Street and Corporate America a damn thing.
(7) He understands money
(8) He's no one's puppet
(9) He couldn't be any worse than the POS presently sitting in the oval office
(10) He wouldn't send our military to fight pretend wars

OMG! is Jimmy Carter running again?

Trump has name recognition...he's characsmatic. And he doesn't mince words, saying exactly what he means. The voters are going to find that honesty refreshing, and won't even bother to listen to what he's actually saying. Blacks love Trump, right? There's a great chance that Trump could bring black folks under the GOP Big Tent. And Latinos are anti-immigrant too, right? So he may carry their vote too.

Plus, don't count out the female vote. Women *love* a toupee. If he's also sporting a merkin, you've got a bare minimum of 60% of the women's vote right there.

He definitely sounds like the candidate the GOP deserves.

About that "toupee" or "combover." Trump was on Megyn Kelly's show the other night and he let her pull his hair, mussed it up and ran her fingers through it and it was a camera close-up. You can go to foxnews .com/megynkelly and find the clip.

Rump has an absolute lock on the nomination. For the Wig Party.

Look at all the nervous liberals. Quite telling, isn't it?

Laughing....I dare you nominate him.

No, I double dog dare you to nominate him. That's how much I want Trump as the GOP nominee.

The panty shitting fear you smell...is from your own party. As the GOP knows what a gift to the Democrats Trump would actually be.

And the Democrats definitely know it.

A thread just opened up about a Carson/Trump ticket. Laugh that off.

So far it's just show biz and maybe a political boxing match. It's best to enjoy the show and not anticipate voting for a candidate who won't be nominated for the better part of a year.

You don't seem to get the pure, creamery buttery this is for Democrats. Presidential politics is bare knuckle....and you're calling on a pair of amateurs. Neither of which have so much as run for city council. Let alone for president.

Why would I complain? This is a DNC wet dream.

I will be really honest and admit if Trump is the 2016 GOP candidate it will be a easy victory for the DNC because no one in their right mind will allow that fool to be the President of this Country.

Now do I believe the GOP is that stupid?

No, but there will be stupid people that will support him like they did with Palin and Bachmann, but Trump will be like Bachmann and when the debates begin he will show his true weakness, and be flushed out quickly.

He is a sound bites guy and when he is shown not to have real substance to be a President he will be tossed quickly like most of his kind are...

I picked McCain in 2007 and Romney in 2011 and I am picking Jeb Bush for 2016 GOP nomination because the GOP will not go so radical that it will lose the White House this election cycle.

The only real challenger to Bush is Kasich which is a strong contender and my second choice for the GOP.

Are you still pushing the bull dyke for Prez? She'll fade away like a bean fart.

I think Trump has a damn good chance. Depending on who he chooses as VP. That is, IF the GOP names him as their nominee. If they don't, he should continue on as an independent and thumb his nose at 'em. And he just might be ornery enough to do it, lol.

Sure, that's why you're sweating profusely.

He doesn't have any.

The man has taken his business and himself into bankruptcy 4 times.

I don't want a man like that in our white house. America can't take another economic collapse.

Laughing.....do you realize how many of your posts are pretending democrats are scared of Trump?

And you know what, whatever melts your butter. As long as you nominate him. If he makes you feel like you can make the democrats nervous, nominate him. If you think he's the best candidate, nominate him. If you wanna vote for a guy that eats pizza with a fork, nominate him.

Whatever you've gotta do to make that man the republican nominee....do it.

You, as a subversive, know NOTHING!

ABC News reports that Trump businesses have actually gone through Chapter 11 bankruptcy four times - in 1991, 1992, 2004 and most recently in 2009. So like many other companies, Trump's businesses have had their ups and downs over the past couple decades.

The first time a Donald Trump business declared bankruptcy was in 1991 when his Atlantic City casino, the Taj Mahal, was in billions of dollars of debt. After a trip to bankruptcy court, Trump was eventually able to reorganize the company's debts and make a financial comeback after developing a budget.

The three other bankruptcies also involved the reorganization of debts and complying with a court-approved reorganization plan. Bankers stepped in and even put Trump on a monthly budget for a while.

Perhaps the Trump bankruptcies can be seen as a strategic business decision and not necessarily a financial failure. As Trump said to ABC News, "I've used the laws of this country to pare debt. ... We'll have the company. We'll throw it into a chapter. We'll negotiate with the banks. We'll make a fantastic deal."

He used the bankruptcy laws to make his portfolio profit. Smart businessmen and women do this all the time. It's the art of the game and he's mastered it.
