Does this sound crazy to you?

The thread has nothing to do with comparitive harm different gasses might present. Its about portraying a public hearing about a modest proposal
Fuck you. It's not a "modest proposal", jackass party of corruption, oppression and slavery supporter.

It seems that everything is presented as an imminent threat to our entire country and a means to destroy or way of life. Here's an example.

New York City announced a “notice of public hearing and opportunity to comment on proposed rules.” to discuss a proposed rule change. Note this is just an announcement to discuss the rule, and to give the public an opportunity to understand what the proposed rule would entail, and to publicly comment on the proposal. No rule has been changed, and at this point it can easily be modified or abandoned.

Essentially, the proposed rule is trying to ensure that restaurants using older ovens are aligned with the regulations applied to newer ones. As of May 2016, the city requires that every new stove must have “an emission control device for odors, smoke and particulate matter.” The city estimates that well under 100 restaurants would be impacted by the new rule.

There are several federal and state grants and low interest loans to help the older businesses defray, or possibly eliminate the cost of the upgrade.

I understand reasonable people might disagree on the details of the proposed rule change, and some might oppose it. The purpose of the hearing will be to allow the public the opportunity to add their input to the decision. All considered, it is a modest proposal.

Unfortunately, the modest proposal was presented as anything but that.

Give us pizza or give us death strikes me as a particularly crazy response by right wingers and their broadcasting networks. Fox showed a clip of the above crazy guy, and Hannity even interviewed him on his radio show. Neither of the mentioned sources portrayed the modest proposal as anything less than an attack on the American way of life, an a specific effort to put the 1900 pizza places in New York City out of business. In case you missed it, less than 100 businesses would be effective.

Do you think that is crazy?

I think it is another way of destroying the Middle class and the job opportunities these businesses supply. They want to tank the economy.

Bulldog, sweetie, I realize you are about as ignorant as a little boy can be, but wanting to protect the little guys against those who want to squash them is actually a LIBERAL principle
This post was ingenious and hilarious, post of the day! I also noticed that he wooshed right past it, wonder why? :laughing0301:

Those pies look pretty darn good... now I know what I'm having for dinner....

If you FEEL that CO2 is a problem other than the eruptions of the Siberian Traps, you are NUTS.
Water vapor kicks CO2's ass as a "greenhouse gas" across the spectrum.
This whole fucking ILLOGICAL war on the weather is PATHETIC
Guess what controls how much water vapor is in the atmosphere?

Global atmospheric temperatures.

Ever heard of a feedback loop?

A bunch of right wing crazies who are afraid to address the purpose of the thread ranting like grade school children? What would i have to be humiliated about?
Well, at least in your own imbecilic way, you have now established liberalism as "right wing".

Does anybody remember back in the day when you were young watching Robin Hood and there was this obnoxious kid in the front row of the theater rooting for the Sheriff of Nottingham?

Ladies and Gentlemen, I present you Bulldog.

The EPA is not a popular government agency due to the fact that the agency is viewed as intertwined with the religion of environmentalism & it's associated doomsday failed prophecies.

A government established MANDATORY COMPLIANCE RELIGION not only violates the American constituencies U.S. Constitution, it also degrades the individuals freedom of choice to abstain from supporting a religion one does not desire to support.

The FY 2022 EPA fiscal budget cost to the American taxpayer was a whopping $11.2 billion making the EPA an agency too costly to afford for the American taxpayers.

Many other problems such as viewing the entire earth as the EPA's domain places the EPA & their buddies in the religion of environmentalism in the 'one world without borders' classification, which is an absolute no-no under any circumstance.

In the year 2017 there was legislation drafted that promoted the abolishment of the EPA by 2018. I agreed with the bill but desired to keep the EPA for interstate river monitoring, the U.S. Coast Guard for offshore water monitoring, & air/land monitoring be the responsibility of each state & territory.

The EPA has become a power hungry zealot that appears to be more interested in controlling people in the interest of a communal global society, which of course would be the end of civilization upon our planet earth.
