Donald Trump cuts ties with Republican Party chairman/GOP official Matt Borges - Full story

"Donald Trump’s campaign is cutting ties with Ohio’s Republican Party chairman after the state GOP leader repeatedly and publicly criticized Trump.

On Saturday, Bob Paduchik, a GOP strategist who is directing Trump’s campaign in the must-win swing state, wrote a two-page letter to Ohio’s Republican Party committee informing them that Matt Borges, the state GOP chairman, “does not represent or speak for the candidate and he no longer has any affiliation with the Trump-Pence campaign.”

Do you think it was a good idea for Trump to do that? How will this impact the Presidential election?

Who knows?

A lot of the R's that turned on him were coming back to him, so I heard.

He's already going to lose. What difference does it make?

why do you even want that?

A couple points about all this.
First the corruption in politics is insanely widespread. Both parties and the media are a joke.
Trump is running for president and winning easily. That is true.
If he does win or not the lies and backstabbing from the republican party will ruin them.
Now here's the thing , there will be a third party coming to a populist wave that will sweep both parties out of power. The people are furious with the self serving politicians. The economy is a train wreck about to happen.
When it crashes it will be from corruption and the people will be ready to hang anyone near Washington.
I'm not even a big trim fan but the next guy to rise up will make trump seem like a boy scout.

Except that it isn't. He's behind in virtually every national poll, and more importantly behind in at least half a dozen must win battle ground states.

With Clinton extending her leads.

If he does win or not the lies and backstabbing from the republican party will ruin them.

The GOP is already ruined. They've become the 'Trump' party......typified by misogyny, bragging about sexual assault, rampant conspiracy theories, pathetic excuse making, Birther conspiracies, calls for war crimes, attacks on minorities, muslims, mexicans, pretty much everyone but white males.

Now here's the thing , there will be a third party coming to a populist wave that will sweep both parties out of power. The people are furious with the self serving politicians. The economy is a train wreck about to happen.

That's not happening either. The 'wave' lacks the numbers to so much as win a national election. Let alone 'sweep away both parties'.

I'm now convinced more than ever that Trump doesn't want win. He's sabotaging his own campaign.

I'm not following polls announcements as the major bias is for Clinton. But have it anyway you like the people are angry and the problem is politicians of any party just overplayed the corruption.
Democrats are flat out thieves.
Republicans are front men for big money and welfare for corporations
The populism is not going to settle down it is going to swamp them. The power to overcome the political machines does not exist as of now but there are interests with enough money to set up a new party that can take on the old order, hopefully not a repeat of 1930's Germany but I think it's possible.

Of course you're not. But just because you ignore overwhelming evidence doesn't magically mean that the evidence ceases to exist. Or that your wish fulfillment fantasies suddenly get fulfilled.

You're replacing overwhelming evidence.....with your imagination. And then insisting that imagination is more credible and reliable.

That's.....that's not how reality works.

If by a lot of the 88 Republicans who have severed ties with Trump you mean 4 (FOUR), then you would be correct.
