“Putin has to do nothing to undermine the alliances and international institutions that helped to advance American security and prosperity for the last several decades,” McFaul wrote on Twitter. “Trump is doing all the work for him.”

Trump is slighting U.S. allies so Putin doesn't have to, says ex-U.S. envoy to Moscow

Only leader who can rely on Trump is Russia's Putin

Trump has been giving Putin many reasons to smile. Trump, who criticized Obama for coddling America's enemies and offending its friends, has taken the practice to new heights. He is corroding the transatlantic alliance, creating deep cracks in America's once-solid bonds with Western European nations. Nothing could make Putin happier.

Until now, one of the sources of America's power has been its ability to draw on the strength of its allies, countries with which the United States shared ideals about democracy, free trade, human rights, and basic respect for the individual. Trump is steadily distancing himself from those countries and those ideals.

A few days ago, Putin told a reporter that he speaks regularly with Trump. There is no evidence that the two have discussed the G7, but if Putin gave Trump a list of requests, he would put rejoining the exclusive group on the list.

Trump is weakening the alliances that gave strength to America. At the same time, he is aiding Putin, who took a nascent democracy and turned into an autocratic regime where political rivals are imprisoned or murdered in the streets, and he is helping to make him stronger.

Remember when Trump talked about Obama working with America's enemies?

Well, Trump is showing us how it's actually done.

We remember when Trump lied about President Obama working with America's enemies.
Well that goes without saying. You just assume everything Trump says is a lie. Especially when he says there were no collusion.

The fact is some of the governments of our traditional allies, particularly European allies, are not so allied with us as tradition might suggest. They have been compromised by foreign and globalist influences.

In what way have Canada and Mexico worked against US interests?

The whole point of NAFTA was to provide Mexicans with good paying jobs st home so they wouldn’t be sneaking across the border. That’s what Reagan said.

The trading framework that Dumb Donald is busily dismantling, was created by Americans, for American corporations to prosper. The World Trade Organization and the NATO Alliance, have made the USA the richest nation on the planet, but the world is not enough.

Stay out from under the rock.

The whole point of NAFTA was to provide Mexicans with good paying jobs st home so they wouldn’t be sneaking across the border. That’s what Reagan said.

Yet still they sneak across the border in even greater numbers. Reagan's amnesty was promised to end the problem, and to be the last. It didn't, and Democrats seek another.

The trading framework that Dumb Donald is busily dismantling, was created by Americans, for American corporations to prosper. The World Trade Organization and the NATO Alliance, have made the USA the richest nation on the planet, but the world is not enough.

Tariffs of 2% versus 25% should never have been tolerated. Time to make an end of them.
