Don’t let the right tell you gun control does not work because it does.

Go ahead, all Democrats voluntarily turn in your guns to government. Put a sign in your yard proudly proclaiming your home is gun free. Hang a gun free pride flag. Nothing stopping you, lead by example. You could do this tomorrow.

There now Dems don't have anything to bitch about.
Dimwingers like taking other people’s guns, then hire armed private security for themselves.

California is a shining example of success for curbing gun violence with gun control legislation. It doesn’t come from one specific policy - but a combination of several.

“For the last 20, maybe even 25 years — except for the two years of the pandemic, which have increased homicides and suicides across the country — our rates of firearm violence have trended downward,” said Wintemute, who directs the Violence Prevention Research Program at the University of California, Davis, Medical Center in Sacramento. “And this has been at a time when most of the rates in the rest of the country have gone up.”

California’s rate of firearm mortality is among the nation’s lowest, with 8.5 gun deaths per 100,000 people in 2020, compared with 13.7 per 100,000 nationally and 14.2 per 100,000 in Texas, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has reported. And Californians are about 25% less likely to die in mass shootings, compared with residents of other states, according to a recent Public Policy Institute of California analysis.

….California has done a lot to prevent high-risk people from purchasing firearms. We’ve broadened the criteria for keeping guns out of the hands of people who pose a danger to themselves or others due to mental illness. If you’re convicted of a violent misdemeanor in California, you can’t have a gun for the next 10 years; that offense has to be a felony in most states….

….We require background checks, and not just from licensed retailers; in most states, purchases from private parties require no background checks or record keeping of any kind. We have a system, that we’re evaluating now, for getting guns back from “prohibited persons” — people who have been convicted of violent crimes or who are facing domestic violence restraining orders. And we enforce these policies, unlike a lot of other states.

You stupid leftard fool !!!

California has MORE ILLEGAL GUNS THAN ANY OTHER STATE IN THE UNION.

That's because we have gang members, stupid leftard. They don't care about the law. Not a whit.

And the law has NO FUCKING IDEA how many weapons they have. Or what kind they might be.

You gotta be a totally gullible delusional progtard to believe California is "successful" when it comes to gun "control".

OBVIOUSLY you don't live in California and don't know whereof you speak.

All gun owners are going have to have a "come to Jesus" moment when you finally realize that "YES, they really are going to take your guns"
Deep down you knew it was going to happen because complaining about it as the only strategy to keep em was never a winning strategy.

It takes REAL sacrifice to retain freedoms like the right to bear arms and far too many are working overtime to take them with little or no resistance outside of windbagging.

The clock is running out on your ability to own a gun. Tragic times in America. The death toll will rise exponentially.
The windbagging never ceases at some places. That's their "Plan". Pathetic.

Correlation does not imply causation. If it did, then dozens of cities with highly restrictive gun laws and high crime rats, like New York, Baltimore, and Chicago, would lead us to conclude that gun control legislation causes more violence.
Causation doesn’t necessarily equal correlation but obviously that doesn’t mean we can’t trust correlation. Plus, part of the evidence is comparing it to states without much gun control. Timing of laws coming to fruition can also be taken into account.

You'll die before you take my weapons.

That means it won't happen in your lifetime. :p

Homicide and violent crime rates had been down nationwide and falling steadily for more than 20 years until BLM/ANTIFA started rampaging across the country.

Your premise has more holes in it than a sieve.

In fact as licensed and constitutional carry has expanded across the country over the last 30 years we say a dramatic fall in homicide rates.
Comparing gun violence in California to other states with little to no gun control is where the evidence comes from. It also comes from the timing of laws taking effect.

Kalifornia is #2 in total Gun deaths.

Total deaths. Gee I wonder if that’s related to the population size! Gun violence per capita is how you it to other states. You’re welcome for explaining this to you.

California’s gun violence per capita is lower than the national and well below Texas.

The rates of homicide and violent crime in CA have not fallen faster or further than those nationwide.

Like most of the nation their homicide rate fell fastest after passage of licensed carry in the state.

Gun laws don’t work if you have the second most gun deaths in the country. Period.

As my post explains, gun violence per capita in California is lower than the national average and way below the average in Texas. Why you’re making this about homicides in general is puzzling. I mean obviously deaths in total are going to be higher. It’s a very populous state lol. Per capita is how you accurately measure this.

You folks keep defending your guns on forums with tuff talk.......

All the while they are actually taking them.
You've confused your WHINING STRATEGY.....with a WINNING strategy

Sry, not the same. Are you illiterate?

Likewise, Hitler, Stalin and Mao all had sensible, only government Good Guys have guns and 0 school shootings!

"Gun violence" is a completely fabricated term for which there are no accurate statistics since it also includes both homicides and suicides.
