“What I would like to see more often in this nation is an open and intelligent conversation, not people just casting aspersions at each other,” Carson said on “This Week.” “I mean, it’s unbelievable to me the way people act like third graders. And if somebody doesn’t agree with them, they’re this and they’re that and, you know — it comes from both sides. And it’s just so infantile.”

The above quote, though obvious, still should hit home with a lot of us.

He could be an intellectual black candidate. It would be refreshing and interesting.

He is marvelous. He is just the kind of man we need in these desperate times. Although it's doubtful that if he ran, he would be prepared for the fire, brimstone and destruction that would be rained down on him by the left.

He's black, the liberal left will find, invent, someone to swear he had her love child. They did it to Cain they'll do it to any black who dares not to be a democrat.. He may well be a democrat we should take it for granted, like liberals do, that if he is black he is a democrat. For what reason that they are is beyond understanding.

He is what liberals fear most - a black intellectual.

From the original WSJ link:

"We don't necessarily have to do 10% but it's the principle. He didn't say if your crops fail, don't give me any tithe or if you have a bumper crop, give me triple tithe. So there must be something inherently fair about proportionality. You make $10 billion, you put in a billion. You make $10 you put in one. Of course you've got to get rid of the loopholes. Some people say, 'Well that's not fair because it doesn't hurt the guy who made $10 billion as much as the guy who made 10.' Where does it say you've got to hurt the guy? He just put a billion dollars in the pot. We don't need to hurt him. It's that kind of thinking that has resulted in 602 banks in the Cayman Islands. That money needs to be back here building our infrastructure and creating jobs."

I supported Herman Cain. If Carson runs as a communist I will consider voting for him. But if he runs as a democrat then no way, he has already proved he makes bad decisions.

Well for sure he is NOT a democrat because UNLIKE ALMOST 99% of DEMOCRATS they can never find anything negative about another Democrat!

Carson said "it comes from both sides."

When was the last time a Democrat said something like that?

To me Carson like most conservatives is willing to take some blame.. but Democrat/liberals... will almost NEVER admit to something like that!

Go through all the MSM and you will find LESS fingerpointing at the Democrats, more at the GOP.
I mean consider Rubio's drinking water had 300,000 comments in less then 3 days.. Obama's "emperor".. less the 3,000!

So the MSM/Democrats almost NEVER say something like "it comes from both sides".. THUS Carson while definitely a Conservative most likely is NOT a Democrat!!!

obama is black the same way Michael Jackson was black. When he needed racism.

Dr. Carson appears to be a pragmatist. And yeah... we could use some common sense at this point. Washington is more busy playing political games than actually tending its duty to this country.

Here's the down-side of pragmatism though... while it's still half a loaf, which beats the hell out of statists taking your whole loaf and then demanding an additional one, not to mention the loaves they've charged to our unborn children and grandchildren... it doesn't really SOLVE the problem. I think it's too early to determine whether Dr. Carson understands the conflict. Would his policies be grounded in the principles of our founding philosophy, or would they be expedient? Does he believe in Natural Law, Individual Liberty, Unalienable Rights, Limited Government?

Ben Carson saved the life of my best friend's child. We're talking FAMILY, a friend of 30 years and a kid who's like a nephew to me. Great kid. But in order to save him and give him a normal life, he had to remove the back side of a six-month old baby's skull. That takes nerve. It takes resolve. It takes an almost ruthless commitment to pragmatism. On the one hand, you have a life to save... on the other, a nearly unimaginable deed to get the job done. This is what surgeons do... they make courageous choices for people who aren't in a position to help themselves, and then they see these choices brought to the fulfillment of reality... with a knife in their hand.

Don't get me wrong... I'm a fan. I adore the guy. And I really do see the value in half a loaf after four years of the mindless, pointless excuse for leadership we've had from Barack Obama. In a general election, where my choice was Ben Carson or some random socialist Dem, there's no contest. But in a primary election, I want a candidate who understands that our laws and our philosophy are NOT arbitrary or expedient. I want a candidate who can articulate the reasons WHY we believe that the natural state of the human animal is to be free.

I think it still remains to be seen if there's more to Dr. Carson than his ability to see through bullshit politics.

LOL, other Black Presidential candidates weren't "intellectual" in your opinion?

So those women regarding Cain were imaginary? How come "the right" didn't stick up for Cain and expose those allegations as "lies"?

I agree with Dr. Carson's statement above.

The damage was already done by the allegations.

But on that topic, why weren't you libs upset over clinton getting a BJ in the oval office by a 19 year old intern? why aren't you upset about Mendenez paying underage hookers for kinky sex?

Cory Booker said a similar thing: "It started with Newark mayor Cory Booker, who said he was "nauseated" by both sides' attacks, lumping together criticism of Romney's record at Bain with potential attacks on Obama's former pastor Jeremiah Wright in a bizarre false equivalence."

They could have disproved them and moved on if the allegations were false. gingrich's past didn't keep him from advancing in the primaries. Who said I wasn't upset?

It doesn't matter what could have been done. The dirty democrats did the deed the why of Cain quiting doesn't matter.

As expected, the radical Far RWers in here are doing the opposite of what Dr. Ben Carson said, attacking the others side just because.

You people just don't learn...do you?

*SMH*

What "deed" are you accusing them of doing? Are you stating that if there was a similar situation with the democratic candidate, the republican news media wouldn't have jumped on it like a hungry dog on a bone? Thanks for the laugh!
