And the scourge that is superstition amd religion plays a big part in it. Good luck convincing a bunch of ignorant, hyper religious people that their religion is wrong, and science is correct.

But that's apples to oranges, in a lot of ways. Unlike AIDS, one doesn't possibly harbor the ebola virus for years before being aware. If you contract Ebola, you know it right away, as does everyone around you. 2-21 days, per WHO. It's a bit hard to seduce an unwary sexual partner, when you are bleeding from your eyes and gums.

Furthermore, the outbreaks in africa are greatly exacerbated by the superstitious treatment of dead bodies...something that is not really a problem, here.

No guarantees, but somehow I honestly believe Trump would be more responsive in that situation than Obama would have been.
