Employer Coverage Booming Under ACA

Obamacare is not just the exchange, folks. All types of health insurance have been reformed by the law. That is why you will soon be calling it The Affordable Care Act.

Only the idiot fringe believe that Obamacare is a success. The simple fact that your messiah has moved the employer mandate back, past the next election, has moved the insurance premium increases back past the next election, and actually negated the individual mandate, ought to give you pause that the shit is going to hit the fan at some point.

Employer covered insurance has increased for the simple reason that it is still cheaper to the individual than the exchanges and it ensures that people do not get their tax rebates robbed by government. People are acting to protect themselves from Obamacare while they still can.

Forget about Obamacare exchanges. Employer coverage is booming, survey finds

While the political world has spent the past several months watching enrollment numbers in Obamacare health insurance marketplaces, maybe we should have been focusing on employer-sponsored insurance.
A new survey from Rand Corp. estimates 9.3 million people were newly insured between September 2013 and March 2014, a trend that was mostly driven by an enrollment increase in employer-sponsored plans.
The growing market for employer-sponsored insurance is still the nation's most common source of coverage. The survey, which comes with some caveats, finds that of the previously uninsured who gained new coverage, 7.2 million were covered by employer plans, 3.6 million were covered by Medicaid and 1.4 million signed up through the Obamacare exchanges. In all, employer coverage increased by 8.2 million since September, Rand said.
Fewer than 1 million people who previously had individual coverage are still uninsured, Rand found. What’s not clear is how many had their plans cancelled or decided their coverage was unaffordable. In all, people who lost previous coverage in the individual market made up less than 1 percent of nonelderly adults, Rand said.

Ha.ha. Nice try--the employer mandate was put off until after the mid-term election cycle coming this November for a reason. It is estimated that 69% of the employer based coverage will be cancelled due to the Obamacare mandates--which requires that EVERYONE without exception has to have coverage for Maternity--drug and alcohol abuse. IOW if you currently do not have that type of coverage, your policy will be considered a JUNK policy, and you will receive your cancellation letter. It's not IF Obamacare will affect you, it's when.

Now this is for employers that have 50 and over employees. Small business sponsored plans also have to meet the same mandates--otherwise--they can refuse to cover any employees--thereby sending their employees onto the Obamacare exchanges to purchase their own health insurance.

Premiums have sky-rocketed because of the new coverage mandates in Obamacare.

And for a look at what small business employees are now looking at in Premiums in blue state Pennsylvania--you might want to watch this.

Here is a state by state comparison has to what the new Obamacare mandated coverage has done to premiums.

Furthermore many large corporations with 50 or more employees--are cutting back employees hours to less than 30 hours per week to avoid paying for their employees Obamacare insurance. They are now considered part-time employees--which doesn't require employers pay for their insurance.

So employees end up with less bring home pay--yet are still forced to pay for their own insurance under Obamacare, or otherwise face the IRS along with penalties.

actually two brothers, a female and a male cousin of ours, myself, and two nieces all have worn airborne boots bloused. Quite a family.

Who cares about insults?

If one does one is in the wrong place.

Oh by the way, all those new ESI enrollees may soon be kicked off of their coverage when the employer mandate hits. So, how will the ACA have any "positive impact" then, exactly?

Desperate wishful thinking.

Employers know the mandate is coming. They know the mandate has minimum standards. Do you think they would decide to enroll people now with less than minimum standards knowing the mandate is coming?

Employers aren't as stupid as you are.

Those imaginary 93 millions you all thought would be kicked off ESHI aren't going to happen. The opposite is occurring.

The mandate has been delayed before. It will be delayed again. Employers are counting on it.

Employment is up despite Obama's policies. Most employers offer health insurance. Ergo health coverage goes up too. This has happened in every single recovery over the last 30 years. That won't stop Dems for taking credit, not morons like pseudo-Jillian for falling for it.

You mean employment is up despite the obstruction of the GOP, don't you? The Do Nothing Congress of John Boehner...

Obamacare isnt even Obamacare. What was passed is not what we have now.

And so the Orwellian rhetorical transition begins. The piss will trickle down from on high to stop calling it ObamaCare (don't want to give the guy credit now that it is finally sinking in that it is going to survive) and start calling it the ACA.

Actually it's up BECAUSE of obstruction in the House. How did that Stimulus thing work out for you?
