Employer Coverage Booming Under ACA

The naysayers are becoming desperate as Obamacare becomes more popular. I expect that the GOP is already developing another attack plan. Who knows, in a few years they may even be claiming credit for Obamacare. The best thing the GOP can hope for is that voters have s short memory. You now, that they don't remember all the lies. "Let Grandma die" and "Death Panels. are two that come to mind.

Hey dumbass, "let grandma die" is quoting a democrat, and the death panels are already proven facts.

Anyone thinking that Washington Post is a "news" source should not be taken seriously.

As it continues to show just like MSNBC, NYTimes, LATimes, Huffington Post, Daily Kos, etc. they all DNC/far left hacks.

I bet your news source is limited to blogs who support your beliefs, Fox and AM Radio. All of which you consider to be fair and balanced. Either that or you get direct information from an implant in one of your molars (does your dentist believe Sarah Palin has the right stuff to be POTUS? If so, change to a new dentist).

So, has the White House shown you the source of their data? Do you know where they get their numbers from? Have you seen it? Has ANYONE?

Forget about Obamacare exchanges. Employer coverage is booming, survey finds

While the political world has spent the past several months watching enrollment numbers in Obamacare health insurance marketplaces, maybe we should have been focusing on employer-sponsored insurance.
A new survey from Rand Corp. estimates 9.3 million people were newly insured between September 2013 and March 2014, a trend that was mostly driven by an enrollment increase in employer-sponsored plans.
The growing market for employer-sponsored insurance is still the nation's most common source of coverage. The survey, which comes with some caveats, finds that of the previously uninsured who gained new coverage, 7.2 million were covered by employer plans, 3.6 million were covered by Medicaid and 1.4 million signed up through the Obamacare exchanges. In all, employer coverage increased by 8.2 million since September, Rand said.
Fewer than 1 million people who previously had individual coverage are still uninsured, Rand found. What’s not clear is how many had their plans cancelled or decided their coverage was unaffordable. In all, people who lost previous coverage in the individual market made up less than 1 percent of nonelderly adults, Rand said.

The story doesn't go into how many people lost their coverage, nor does it go into the causes of this supposed increase.

Btw, it also stated clearly the margin of error is huge, approx 3.5 million, and it states that only 1.4 million signed up through the exchanges........

How many ppl that lost their coverage were given replacement coverage, by the same employer and same insurance company?

Or don't you know.....

Just making sure.

Fyi yea the information is out there. It requires research. But i notice you didnt think that research was necessary before the pessimism. Why so proud of comments ignorant of all the facts? Shrug.

They were not given replacement insurance. They were given considerably more expensive plans over the insurance they wanted. It would be replacement insurance if it was replaced with something of equal cost.

Nevertheless, the group plan mandates have been pushed back till late 2016, so people that signed up will lose their plans once they kick in.

When people "lose their plans" they dont "lose their option to have a plan," that is the problem with wingnut media. They dont like details.

Thats most certainly not true across the board.

Some were cheaper, some were more expensive, some were more expensive but grew at a lesser rate a nually than previous to the law.

Employment is up despite Obama's policies. Most employers offer health insurance. Ergo health coverage goes up too. This has happened in every single recovery over the last 30 years. That won't stop Dems for taking credit, not morons like pseudo-Jillian for falling for it.

Jillian, the lies just continue. We won't know the true numbers for quite some time. Just wait.

I agree any and all numbers are premature and the Gov't continuously moving around mandate dates and such is skewing everything, likely purposefully.

It's an overt admission that the roll out was poor.

Democrats lying about the success of obamacare is not surprising. It was a direct order from the white house.

It didnt have to be. The bureaucracy is now enmeshed with the administration to the point that all Obama has to do is hint at what he wants and they do it. IRS badgering, fake unemployment numbers, fake Obamacare numbers. Theyre all onboard with it.

Has the way unemployment is tallied change at all in the last 30 years? Honest question.

Fake...Fake...Fake. And you just happen to have no link. SHOCKED:eek:

Probably.
But it changed in the month ahead of the presidential election to show a much lower rate than it really was. This was done explicitly for political purposes, to make Obama look better. Benghazi was done for political purposes, to make Obama look better. The ACA signups are done for political purposes to make Democrats look better. See a pattern here?
