After the head of Turkish state, Receep Tayyed Erdogan and his son Bilal were harshly criticized for backing extremist militants in Syria, the Turkish President’s daughter, Sümeyye, is allegedly heading a covert medical team to treat wounded ISIS militants.
The appalling revelation was made by a resentful nurse who once served in a secret military hospital in Şanlıurfa, nearly 150 km east of Gaziantep on the Syrian borders.
According to the nurse, Sümeyye Erdogan runs the medical corps responsible for treating injured ISIS members who have been brought in by military trucks.
Turkey maintains unremitting support for extremist militants fighting to topple President Bashar al-Assad. In numerous occasions, Erdogan explicitly expressed support for the Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated parties in Egypt and Tunisia; a group hostile to Syria’s secular regime some 35 years ago.
His son, Bilal, is also involved in smuggling the Iraqi and Syrian plundered oil through the maritime companies he owns. Bilal has signed contracts with several European operating companies to ship Iraqi and Syrian oil to different Asian countries in Japan-bound oil tankers.
Nonetheless, it seems that as long as his father holds office, Bilal will remain immune from accountability.
