It delves into the early reporting by the Media and Government on the event. Some would say, before the cover-up got into high gear. It reveals some fascinating facts that have since been forgotten or 'scrubbed.'

I hear ya, but it really is an incredible Doc. The early reporting by the Government and Media is often overlooked by most. Most dismiss it as only being rushed reporting mistakes. But anyway, there are other parts to the series. It's pretty interesting. It's great watching if you have some time to kill.

I thought the finding of the Mauser rifle in the depository to be really interesting. History says that Oswald used an Italian Carcano rifle to kill the President. But early on it was reported that officers found a Mauser rifle at the scene. These officers signed sworn affadavits stating they clearly saw '7.65 Mauser' stamped on the barrel.

All but one officer later recanted their stories and said they were mistaken. Officers Fritz, Boone, and Weitzman went on to have normal careers in law enforcement. But officer Roger Craig never changed his story and went on to lose everything. He was later fired. He also claimed he escaped several attempts on his life. He eventually took his own life in 1975.
