There is evidence that sensible folk are walking away in droves but this isnt reflected in the decision making of their Washington elites who are still in thrall.

Or perhaps they are too intimidated from following their conscience. Trumps followers are violent and unhinged and it would take some bottle to speak up.

Democracy is in a sad state in the US. Thats what happens when elections come down to the level of phone votes in a reality show.
