We know for a fact that this nations govt. along with many, most and if not all state govts. are heavily influenced by lobbyist and other monied interests, many, if not all legislation and political moves are made to repay those that donate their money to candidates and parties..All the while wedge issues are put out in public to cause the common citizen into a frenzy of McGuffin political tiffs to allow back door deals of those in power...
If you take the time to notice, there has been no change in reality of political positions by each side, once you strip away the wedge issues..

I looked into the Eugenics claim , briefly , a while back - the only thing I could find was a law he endorsed when he was NJ Governor , but that got overturned by the NJ Supreme Court -

I dunno about eugenics but he also extended the Russian revolution unnecessarily by sending people over to keep the shit stirred up. That went on I think to about 1920. Didn't need to happen. Kept sticking his nose in Latin America too.

But the term itself was a relatively new and trendy term at the time with marketing power. You know, like "libertarian" has become today. These things go in swings. Eugenics was a social philosophy popular with many in the late 19th/early 20th centuries -- a time when racism, another not-well-thought-out social philosophy -- degraded to perhaps its lowest depths, at least in modern times. J.H. Kellogg (the cereal guy) had the "Race Betterment Foundation" in Battle Creek. Funding poured in from Rockefeller and Carnegie. And see if you recognize the guy on the first page of this item.

We in the world of decades later associate eugenics with Hitler and the "Aryan" thing, but it was already going on before he was even born. In fact thirty states passed compulsory sterilization laws as far back as 1907 -- which is well before Wilson. Whatever that New Jersey bill was might have been another stab at the same thing.

I guess than you would consider the quotes from Socialist Margaret Sanger re: Genocide against the Negro Race and Large Families murdering their youngest members to be acceptable - because she lived in a era when many socialists were saying the same thing
