Father of CA Mass Shooting Victim Blames NRA and Republicans

Father of victim: 'Too many have died' - CNN.com Video

Is this how it is going to be for now on...every time a nutcase shoots someone, is it really going to be the fault of the NRA and GOP? I don't get it. Is blaming everyone else but the culprit an excuse...is it simply political? What is the rationale or motivation to place the blame on everyone else but the person responsible?

When you tell people there is no God, get rid of the Ten Commandments and Bible reading then you have unrestrained people walking around and could actually be demon possessed as you may see more demon possessed people in the future doing these things.

People rely on whatever biases they already have when faced with the incomprehensible. Another person might have blamed pornography or same sex marriage. Another person might blame video games. Everything is used to justify the preconceived beliefs. In this case, the father is overwhelmed with tragedy. As a democrat he is certain to dismiss the victims that were stabbed to death and blame the NRA and Republicans.

Authorities had had three contacts with Rodgers in the past year, including one case in which he claimed to be beaten but deputies suspected he was the aggressor. On April 30, officials went to his Isla Vista apartment again to check on him at the request of his family. But deputies reported back that the Santa Barbara community college student was shy, polite and having a difficult social life but did not need to be taken in for mental health reasons, Brown said.Attorney Alan Shifman said the Rodger family had called police after being alarmed by YouTube videos "regarding suicide and the killing of people" that Elliot Rodger had been posting.

why isn't he blaming this boys mental illness?. Sad the police didn't heed the parents warnings. How often is it the police have had prior contact with the assailants?

Like Rocko said, give him a pass, he's dealing with a devastating personal tragedy.

I agree.

If the flaming idiot accepted any blame he'd be overcome with it all and go out and run down a flock of people....but only out of remorse. Just as he taught others? Well, one other?

Authorities said the 22-year-old lone gunman, Elliot Rodger -- the son of a director who worked on the "The Hunger Games" -- carried out his attacks Friday*

Interesting tidbit.

I blame the father of the punk himself for never having gotten the kid proper psychiatric care.

he was getting care..The parents new the kid had issue and took the correct steps to try to fix the issue. Sometimes you can't fix crazy.

I wouldn't necessarily. The kid was seeing multiple therapists. I don't know if any of them were actually doctors, but there is a possibility that the parents tried the best they could to get the kid the right kind of treatment, they might have just been unsuccessful in achieving that for him.

Like I said, it is the pussification of America. Our kids have no sense of reality any more. We give them a trophy for coming in last place. We call failures success and we call success failures. We blame everything and everyone else for failure and enable a false sense of entitlement. We are not honest with our children, and when they face the reality of not being a success, they can't handle it. It just makes no sense.

This isnt that...

This is what happens when Democrats ignore their party's principles and don't abort when they have the duty so to do.

I don't know why the father would blame conservatives, the kid clearly has a liberal mindset.

Surely the father would have enough decency and reverence for his own son not to make politics out of his death. Surely he would have enough respect to not turn the deaths of the other victims into a political point. Guess not. He has reduced his own dead son to a pawn in the gun control debate. What kind of father does that?

may you never have children so you never have to lose one and feel that pain.
I would destroy worlds if someone harmed my sons.

Whats worse is they were trying to save their son by getting him the correct help and they failed in the end. They failed...Do you know how much pain they are in right now? No you dont because you are a fucking ignorant moron on the internet.

To Libs, that doesn't matter. Stabbings can't be used as political material.

The father just appeared on Anderson Cooper. It appears he will be doing the media rounds. I am losing all respect for this male version of Cindy Sheehan.

To recap:
The cause of the shooting is:
Video games
The NBA
Guns
The GOP
Violent movies
Comedy movies
Jews
White men
White women
Parents

Did I miss any?

The black man getting more blondes than him!

What's crazy about the gun control freaks is that they seem to overlook a key point in this sad saga.

On December 9, 2013 — barely six months ago — the Los Angeles Times was pleased to report the following, beginning with this headline:

California has toughest gun control laws in country, study finds

SACRAMENTO — California has the toughest gun control laws in the nation, receiving an A- grade in a state-by-state analysis by the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence and the Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence.

Gun Laws Won't Prevent the Next Elliot Rodger | The American Spectator

Excellent article.

Life is not Utopia. Bad things are always — always — going to happen. But it is crystal clear that the problem in California isn’t guns.

Liberals demanded — and got — the “toughest gun control laws in the nation.” They made not the slightest difference to a mentally ill young man, who should never have been on the streets of California in the first place.
