I buy as much as I think is prudent and consider myself lucky not to need them.

Now public sector unions are truly legalized extortionists. Our gov't is required by law to provide what we as a society deem to be necessary services and then the employees are given the right and the tools to withhold those services.

When the agencies are invariably crippled by the unions and atrophy sets in we get work-arounds like school vouchers and privately owned, non-union schools.
