I guess a lot of people are right: There are a lot of strange legislators in Florida.

Why in the world would a bill be necessary on that topic?

I assume that most Caucasian children and adults are far from being ashamed of anything.

Yes. Yes. A certain ethnicity did a lot of the backbreaking labor in the South. And another ethnicity picked the crops so that everyone could eat. And another ethnicity helped build the transcontinental railroad. Kudos to them.

BUT this nation is mostly the result of what Caucasians have achieved.

There is no reason for today's Caucasians to be less than proud of their ethnicity.

IMHO, Caucasian Americans deserve a medal for changing course in the 1960s and deciding that integration was the only realistic path forward for the nation.

(P.S.: A lot of non-Caucasians no doubt secretly hope that Caucasians remain the majority ethnicity. Sadly, that does not look possible.)

Um, yeah, actually, it's the kind of thing they need to know, so they can recognize injustice when they see it. You do get what a complete injustice this was, right? The use of the legal system to force people into servitude. One can argue it still goes on today, where the Prison-Industrial Complex has 2 million people locked up, 46% of them for non-violent crimes.
