Yes they had a special status…you are right far more then just taxesIt's not that Disney had a "special tax status". They had complete zoning and construction control over the district, and required no government permissions to build or tear down anything. No environmental assessments, and no waiting for approvals.
A clueless idiot such as yourself has no idea of the value of this control, but given that any large construction project, takes an average of 2 years to complete all environmental assessments and obtain governmental construction approvals, Disney's absolute control over the district is worth millions.
It's not fascism to refuse to give a company a "special tax district", but it is most definitely fascist to take one away as punishment for criticizing the government.
