Floridians not happy to see DeSantis.

it can't censor based on viewpoint, but it certainly doesn't have to give someone a speical tax status if it disagrees with their viewpoint.
Wrong. The government can't discriminate based on viewpoint.

What your suggesting chills free speech and is contrary to the constitution.

hahah free speech and a special tax permit aren't the same thing you idiot

You can't use government to suppress speech and that's exactly what Florida is doing by giving special privileges based on what speech you express.

no it's not...Disney's speech was no suppress at all...unlike what the Court found the Xiden admin was doing and you cheered.

FL also wasn't giving anyone special privileges based on their speech. Another lie.

Geez, you are bending over backwards trying to defend and deflect from the very thing your Demafascsit regime was doing

Disney's speech was no suppress at all.
They're being punished because of their speech.

It sends a message to everyone in Florida that if you say something DeSantis doesn't like, you will be treated differently by the government.

That's suppressing speech.

The Tweeter from the OP. :rolleyes-41:

600x200

He probably "organized" the booing.

yes, it sends a message you have no right to a special tax status in FL....hahah people are well aware of that.

Just like when the Xiden admin revoked the tax-exempt status of a Religous Group called "Christians Engaged" - because they felt that bible teachings are typically affiiliated with the GOP" Republicans question motives of IRS in ruling that could jeopardize tax-exempt status of churches

It sends a message that you can get a special privilege if you don't use your first amendment rights in a way that DeSantis doesn't like.

That chills the freedom of speech and is unconstitutional.

The government can't engage in viewpoint discrimination.

There's nothing wrong with the government promoting accurate information and pushing back on lies. In fact, the failure to do so would be a detriment to the nation and it's something we've been doing for all of modern history at all levels of government.

You need to find an actual example of government going after freedom of speech because your case doesn't have it.
According to the courts there are, DeSantis was wrong for going after Disney, however the government as acknowledged by the courts need to not pressure social media, both are wrong.

really? who did he give a special priviledge to?

The Govt can certainly not give a special tax exemption to people or groups based on their views. They however can't censor their speech....like your Xiden regime did

The Govt can certainly not give a special tax exemption to people or groups based on their views.
False. The group's views can't be a part of the decision to give or take away special privileges. Doing so chills free speech and violates the first amendment.

It's a punishment for said viewpoint. You're a fascist trying to convince us you're not.
Ok…we take away special tax status all the time from people and organizations for expressing a viewpoint

It’s not fascism to not give a special tax break to someone

False. The group's views can't be a part of the decision to give or take away special privileges. Doing so chills free speech and violates the first amendment.
Sure they can…just like when the xiden admin refused to give tax exemption to a Christian group because they felt the Bible makes you republican

Nope. That violates the first amendment because it is viewpoint discrimination.
hahha ok ok, i tell ya what, show us the case law that says that the Govt not giving someone a special tax status is a violation of the first amendment....i'll wait

Then surely you have a myriad of examples.
Yep...https://www.globenewswire.com/en/news-release/2021/06/16/2248428/0/en/IRS-Denies-Religious-Group-Tax-Exempt-Status-States-Bible-teachings-are-affiliated-with-the-Republican-party.html

IRS Denies Religious Group Tax Exempt Status; States “Bible teachings” are “affiliated with the Republican party”

Viewpoint discrimination has a long history of being struck down by the courts.

agreed, but we aren't talking about that here...we are talking about a special tax status. You have no right, let a long a first amendment right to a special tax exemption status
