We've been through this before. Dozens of times even. Hillary never lied and Comey didn't commit perjury.

Trey Gowdy "weasel worded" his questions in an effort to get Comey to say that Hillary lied. Hillary told Comey things that were not correct, but she wasn't lying. Everything that she told Comey was based on her instructions to her staff, and her belief that they had carried out those instructions. She didn't try to mislead or obstruct his investigation in any way. Interstaff memos, instructions and correspondence back up what she told Comey.

The proper legal general phrase is "To the best of my knowledge, information and belief." Everything Hillary told Comey was "to the best of her knowledge, information and belief", true. Not everything she knew or believed was correct or accurate, but she was not lying.

A "lie" is a deliberate attempt to mislead someone. Trump telling the National Archives that he had returned all of the Presidential documents they were asking for, when dozens of these files were sitting in the desk drawer in his office, is a lie. Even if he genuinely believe they were his property, he still lied about having them.

Pence telling the NA that he returned all of his documents and then finding some later isn't a lie, because he believed he had returned everything he should have, and it was only after he made a search of his files, did he realize he was wrong.

Both men told the NA something that wasn't technically true, but only one of them lied.
