I think that there is a consensus from both sides of the aisle (well, with the exception of a few) that Trump would make a less than stellar president.....Trump could be a good Secretary of Commerce, or even an amabassador to China (that would royally piss off the Chinese,) but as president, God help us all.
So, if you're inclined to curb the rise of Trump's popularity in the polls, you must remember that ONLY Trump can ultimately defeat Trump....he is a demagogue who will always muster people's anger and frustrations and, on the front of populism, Trump will win.
The very best way to bring Trump down is to challenge him....not on what he states about rhetorical qustions, but on POLICY....Trump must be asked for specifics on how to help create jobs and bring the outsourced ones back; he must be asked for specifics on how to battle and ultimately defeat ISIS and A/Q; he must be asked for specifics on the astronomical student debt, the environment, our infrastructure, how to curb the income inequality; how to curb the gambling casino that is Wall Street, how to ease the racial tensions, the bribing of congress, etc.
Take on Trump on his views of women...and you lose; take Trump on his less than stellar views on illegal immigration....and you lose; take on Trump on his bankruptcy filings....and you lose..........The best way to defeat Trump is to ask Trump for policy specifics.
(Of course such will be tough because, as we all know, NONE of the other candidates have clear and specific ,,,,and credible....answers to those same policy questions.)
