Amen! I've been saying for years we need much stronger lawnmower control laws. And don't even get me started on assault lawnmowers!

I say just outlaw the self propelled mowers first.

Because one death is a tragedy, a million deaths a statistic....

And? Considering that all rifle types are used to murder fewer people every year than knives, clubs and empty hands......where does the million deaths come in? Sure...socialist governments murder unarmed people in the millions...but this is about rifles v. lawn mowers....and mass shooters v. lawn mowers....

Well this is one of the DUMBEST analogies I've seen in a while. I would like to know as a matter of comparison, when was the last time a LAWNMOWER jumped the
curb, rode into an elementary school and took out 26 LITTLE kids and their teachers in 7 minutes? I missed that story.

And yet that lawnmower kills more people each year than all the years that mass shooters have intentionally murdered people....except for 2017. Mass shooters have murdered fewer people than lawn mowers....the common lawn care machine....and yet you aren't calling for banning lawn mowers.......

There are 600 million guns in private hands, and over 16, 300,000 people carry guns for self defense......and a handful of mass shooters murder fewer than 70 people each year, often only half that number....and you want to use that number as the reason to disarm every gun owner in the country...

That is insane....that is stupid...especially when the laws we have that would have stopped the last two mass shooters were ignored or screwed up by the very people you say will protect us....

Please.....educate yourself about guns before you comment on them.......

There are over 8 million AR-15s in private hands, yet knives are used to murder more people than AR-15s.....and if we could get stats on rifle types and murder.....it would be awful close as to which killed more people, the AR-15 or the lawn mower....

I saw a column by Charles C.W. Cooke today...which is why this is in current events...and he made the point that lawn mowers kill 70 people every year.........

The only year where mass public shooters murdered more people than lawn mowers killed in accidents was 2017....where 110 people were murdered by mass public shooters......while lawn mowers murder more than 75 people every single year......

Each year, more than more than 75,000 Americans are injured in lawn mowing accidents, and 10,000 of them are children.

“A projectile traveling at 150 to 250 miles per hour has great potential to tear the skin, and usually those injuries heal. However, an object could just as easily hit you in the face or directly in the eye, and that will put an eye out immediately,” Casady said.

Each year, more than 75 people die in lawn mower accidents.

Many lawn mowing accidents involve children, Casady said. He advises parents to not allow children under the age of 12 to use a push mower and to keep children under the age of 16 off riding lawn mowers.
