People knew about underground rivers and water resources...Even the Jews knew to build underground water sources by digging caverns...the one you are referencing is by the plates...I don't see any specific reference to a certain location of the water they referenced in the Bible..God forgot to tell them the proper nomenclature of Earth's strata of it's crust and lower regions..

so what, it is still trapped in minerals 255 to 410 miles deep and cannot come up from that depth like a fountain because it is not liquid. do you have any idea how deep 255 miles is?

Where did the water come from to create a flood in the first place? The most logical explanation is an earthquake which opened up the Bosphorus Straits and allowed the Mediterranean Sea to flood into the Black Sea area.
