I don't see any problem with posting news reports and discussing them, the problem arises when people think to discuss them and the issues they raise, means you've bought into the news item wholesale, even when you point out you haven't. Early on in this thread I used words such as 'allegedly' and said things like 'if' the man is in fact Muslim....but the islamopologists appear to be wilfully blind in their haste to label concerned Europeans and others as racist, bigots, Nazis etc etc. That's why I largely ignore their posts and their baiting - until they lie directly about me. Otherwise it seems pointless to engage as they are good at excusing but not so good at listening.

At the moment I can't find any updates on this story. The mail story says it was updated today, and it contains the same statement that he was reportedly unhappy about their state of dress, stabbed them, and tried to escape, and that he might have something 'psychologically' wrong with him and would be psychologically assessed.

Actually the original comment about being "scantily dressed" CAME from the Vice mayor. The prosecutor has only said he doesn't yet KNOW the motive. But SEVERAL witnesses and a couple TV outlets made the same comment. We shall see.

The guy's kids were probably making comments about why they were inside with clothes from ankles to ears. And it pissed him off because they should KNOW their place in the world. Too much "bad influence" on his years of parenting them into discipline and intolerance.
