Awesome and congratulations on the landslide victory,

A slim majority in the EC and a virtual tie in the popular vote is not a landslide. But no doubt the cons will say the country gave them a mandate.
306 to 232 is how you define a slim majority?

The votes in Pa, Mi,and Wi were very slim victories. Obama's margin in 2008 was way above that. Now that was a landslide. Hell, the GOP barely retained the Senate.
I didn't call it a landslide, you called it a slim margin.

My reply was to TheDude who did call it a landslide. It wasn't.

When you lie to cover your foolishness then you're a fool and a liar. Make sense?

306 to 232, hmmm doesn't seem slim and she didn't reach that magic number. what was that now? ....hmmmmmmmmmmmm ....270. didn't get there. can't win without getting there. she was about three states short. D'OH!!!!!!!!!

I really want to know what happened in Florida?

It was three states and about 100,000 votes as the margin in all three combined. Slim and no mandate. But the real question for the Democrats is can they obstruct in lock step like the Republicans did? Even to the point of it being detrimental to the country? I don't think they can or will. They will put the good of the country above party loyalty and try to compromise in good faith. But maybe I'm wrong.

Three states(WI, MI, PA) that usually go Democratic turns it around. Hardly a mandate for Trump. If jobs don't rebound quickly, they'll likely be back in the Democratic fold.
I didn't say mandate or landslide. AND it makes no difference. If you win by one vote, you win, you call the shots in the WH and go about your agenda. With or without the oppositions blessings, like obama and the right. Now it's our turn.

Sorry, the last landslide was in 1988.

Well not really, President Obama only has a 60 vote super majority for a few weeks in 2009 before Kennedy died. Republicans do not have a super majority in the Senate. The Dems can still block most legislation they want to if they stick together. But then again they are not Republicans and will put the country above party and compromise.

You ever find it a coincidence the economy didn't show any signals of turn-around until after republican majority in the house?
Any chance you're doing what BLM does, projecting responsibility for poor disposition?

You did deny that he won by a slim majority. I was just pointing out how tenuous that majority was, slim or not, considering that it was based on support that could easily melt away.

Limbaugh was saying exactly that today.

Apparently with a straight face.

The economy started growing again in summer 2009. It started adding jobs again in spring 2010.

Not a big fan of BLM. Should be renamed to Your Life Matters.

Your spin ain't cutting it. obie got obamacare passed without a single Republican vote. It never enjoyed a majority approval with Americans and Americans is what makes America, not DC.

FAIL.

The economy always bounces back. obama hindered it and we are still crawling along. America said enough.

That's right Sparky. I denied it because it wasn't true. It was a big EC difference, not slim. The support could melt away? The left won't support him no, matter what. The only babble about mandates and shit when they lose.

So what? They marched in lock step to deny him any success even if it were policies they once supported. They didn't care if it was bad for the country. Their goal was to deny him any victory at all cost. Americans love several provisions of the ACA, they just don't want to pay for it, those provisions they hate.

They, and we who put them there, didn't want obamacare. Failing to go along with the left is considered obstruction. Since there's about a billion provisions that's great that Americans like a few.

The economy always bounces back. obama hindered it and we are still crawling along. America said enough.

During a recession, changes in government spending have a “multiplier effect” on output and income: each dollar of additional spending increases—and each dollar cut spending decreases—GDP by much more than one dollar. The Great Recession of 2008-2009 was the worst on record since the Great Depression of the 1930s, in terms of both total decline in real GDP, and total increase in the unemployment rate between the previous peak and the beginning of the subsequent recovery. The economy was in a very deep hole in 2009, and had we spent the way we did after previous recessions, we would have experienced substantial increase in GDP since then. Instead, cuts in government spending over the last eight years have had a pernicious, negative impact on output and income, as well as on jobs and wages, which depend on the level of spending in the economy. If it weren’t for these cuts, the economy would likely be fully recovered by now, and the expansion would have equaled or exceeded the Bush recovery.

Worst recovery in postwar era largely explained by cuts in government spending

yes, they hate the part where they pay for the have nots while their costs go up. that provision is the one that ends.

Bullshit. And most of obie's stimulus went into union coffers. He's even apologized for the lack of the shovel ready jobs. Then some was thrown away on feel good programs like "cash for clunkers".
