“Put another way, the phase-out resulted in more than 1,100 additional deaths per year from increased concentrations of SO2, NOx, and PM. The increase in production from hard coal plants is again the key driver here, making up roughly 80% of the increase in mortality impacts.”

Hysteria regarding nuclear means that reason has been replaced with wishful "green" ideology.

We need molten salt reactors, not solar and wind. Nuclear is clean, safe, reliable, scalable, 24/7/365 electricity. Only geothermal and hydro electric dams offer the same basic qualities as nuclear.
