God doesn't bend the world to suit me, and that pisses me off.
I used to go to church, and pray to God, but the things I asked for didn't happen.
For example, I wanted to have money, not enough to be rich, just enough to get by.
But God did not answer that prayer, at least not fast enough.
I suffered, and my family suffered, for lack of money.
I became angry with God, and I stopped going to church.
I did not want to be a friends with a God who would let bad things happen to me.
I think I understand people who reject God, because he lets bad things happen in the world.
"No loving God would let a child suffer" they might say.
I guess everyone thinks they're smarter than God, and if they had his job, they would do it better.
Imagine a world where nothing bad ever happens to anyone.
No one would ever get sick, no one would ever die.
No one would ever lose a job, and everyone would constantly get promoted.
If a group of friends met to play Monopoly, everyone would win.
Every man and woman who ran for President would win the election.
What a wonderful world that would be, if one of us humans who know better could be God.
