While the Russians were having their way with the DNC, Democrats' servers, e-mails, databases, etc....

'Russian hackers tried, failed to breach Republican National Committee, officials say'

"Russian hackers tried to penetrate the computer networks of the Republican National Committee, using the same techniques that allowed them to infiltrate its Democratic counterpart, according to U.S. officials who have been briefed on the attempted intrusion.

But the intruders failed to get past security defenses on the RNC’s computer networks, the officials said."

Maybe the Democrats FAILED to prevent the Russian hackers from accessing their systems/servers and pillaging them for everything they could find was because, as Hillary showed, Democrats...

- Don't take mandatory Security Training

- Don't sign mandatory documents verifying security training has been completed

- Don't adhere to policies, regulations, and laws regarding the ownership, transporting, handling, storage, and destruction of classified information

- Illegally give access to their secure servers / e-mails / data to people who don't have security clearances

- Strip the classified headings / markings off their products before sharing / sending / receiving on an unsecured line / system

- Illegally share their personal computer / security passwords

- Store their highly classified servers and e-mails in the BATHROOMs of small tech companies who do not have the required security clearances to have the hardware/information in their possession.

Liberals should NOT blame Trump, The GOP, or Conservatives for the DNC's / THEIR being 'technology challenged' (as Hillary's staff described HER) and because they completely SUCK at Cyber Security!

And it was help Hillary becoming President!
?

Exercising proper Cyber Security, preventing Russia from hacking them as well, the GOP was helping Hillary become President? I am confused - please explain.

This paragraph from the article: "But the intruders failed to get past security defenses on the RNC’s computer networks, the officials said. And people close to the investigation said it indicated a less aggressive and much less persistent effort by Russian intelligence to hack the Republican group than the Democratic National Committee. Only a single email account linked to a long-departed RNC staffer was targeted."
Read it again, please. It seems to suggest that the Russians didn't try very hard to hack the Republican group since it was of less interest, not because their defenses were somehow more stringent. I didn't see in the article how many times it took to breach the DNC, but the indication is pretty clear that they were far more dedicated to infiltrating the DNC. Fox is out-foxing you.

It sounds like the Russians probed the GOP's security, found resistance, then moved on to the DNC - they met no resistance, so they set up camp and 'raped and pillaged' the DNC for everything they could.

Easy, your critique on the easiness of the DNC hacking seems to somehow translate to your complaints about Hillary's private server targeted by Wikileaks. I think they are 2 different issues. The complaints against Hillary are full of 'may haves' and 'probablys'. The DNC hack is different altogether. Are they synonimous in your mind?

C'mon, you have to admit, Hillary and the DNC's 'Cyber Security' practices SUCK / SUCKED out the ass. They might as well have printed out everything, put it neatly in a folder, and handed it all over to the Russians....
.
.
.
...that is IF the Russians are even responsible for the hacking and exposing of e-mails & documents. Julian Assange, the guy who exposed it all, says the Russians didn't give him anything, that it was an 'inside job'.

You read this as the Russians being stumped by RNC cyber-protection. I read it not as an impenetrable RNC barrier, but as a lack of interest or motive by hackers to continue trying. sigh

Liberals keep making the same PROVEN false arguments about Hillary's e-mail and servers.
- Hillary used an unauthorized, unsecured, unencrypted server that violated Obama policy, rules, and security regs.
- It was illegal for Hillary to have any classified information in her possession after leaving the State Department - she had a LOT!

- It was proven she gave access to classified server, e-mail documents, etc to people who did not have security clearances - aides, Maids, lawyers, tech companies who illegally stored her server in an unsecured bathroom....

We don't even have to go any further because in this little bit crimes have already been exposed.

2 Separate issues I never said they were. WORDS MEAN SOMETHING.

My point, which you missed, is if the DNC's Cyber Security practices were no better than Hillary's then it is no wonder they got F*ed hard by hackers. (I never said they were the same incident. I was sort of questioning / comparing Cyber Security practices.))

No YOU read this as the Russians being stumped. My intent was to point out the Russians met with resistance when they attempted to hack the RNC.. Maybe the Ruskies moved on to see if there were bigger vulnerabilities elsewhere ... and they found those at the DNC.

The fact is the Russians did try to hack the GOP, despite the level of effort they put into it. They didn't JUST go after the DNC, as some libs have declared.

Want to know EXACTLY why the Russians didn't try harder to go after the GOP? You can either speculate (which you will choose to do) or have Barry ask Putin that exact question.

So finally the RWnuts around here are acknowledging that the Russian hacking of the DNC was NOT some made up story.

You give them too much credit, they just hop from one argument of convenience to another.

I'll take intelligence review results over what RNC officials think and say.

Im laughing........this whole "fake news" narrative is blowing up in the DUMS faces. Have you ever seen such levels of lose? The demonstrations......the recount.......the hacking............one by one, fell like a stone in water.

I remember thinking waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back in the fall of 2008 that my time would come!! Never thought it would be such a fucking hoot though!! These forums have become more fun by a factor of 1,000 in the last 5 weeks!!:coffee: Just hope the Russians don't hack this site.........that would suck!!:gay::funnyface::funnyface::funnyface::funnyface:

No, still waiting for DEFINITIVE evidence that it happened....and since the Obama CIA, who is the once claiming to have all the evidence, just illegally blew off a subpoena ordering them to come before Congress and tell them what they have so far the CIA's credibility just took a hit.

This story about the Russians trying to hack the US government, the WH, Congress, both parties - even Obama says that happens all the time. There is still no proof Russia hacked anything with the intent of helping Hillary.

Assange says he got all of his info from another source, NOT the Russians, the CIA refuses to officially say what evidence they have, and the 'All-In' 'Fake News' media is the ones leading the charge on declaring 'The Russians did it'.

We can talk about all the theories and possibilities without completely agreeing that it happened.

Aha! See how quick they flip flop and flounder!

Now you're disavowing the information in your own OP. That's hilarious:

"Russian hackers tried to penetrate the computer networks of the Republican National Committee, using the same techniques that allowed them to infiltrate its Democratic counterpart, according to U.S. officials who have been briefed on the attempted intrusion."

You've acknowledged that the Russians hacked the DNC, and you don't even realize it.
