of the U.S. House of Representatives visited Taiwan.​

The Taiwan Travel Act (H.R. 535, Pub.L. 115–135 (text) was signed into law by Trump on March 16, 2018. It allows high-level officials of the United States to visit Taiwan and vice versa.

The law was harshly criticized by the government of the People's Republic of China, of course.
