Old Rocks: I would not have said he was lying but that he was mistaken.
Water pollution by copper mine, Andalucia, Spain
As educated as you claim to be Old Crock, this article exposes Old Crock as a liar and a propagandist.
Renewables Investment and Recent Declines | The Energy Collective
From your link
There's actually a silver lining in the numbers. Part of the decline was caused by the improving economics of solar and wind
The drop from Europe's nearly $100 billion investment in 2012 was due to Germany, Italy and France pulling back subsidy payments for new projects
Government investment was down, but public market investment market bounced back to $13 billion after 2012’s $4.8 billion investment, the lowest since 2004.
You need to read beyond the Google headlines in your search results.
You need to polish your comprehension skills, everything here states a decline, other than an $8 billion increase in public market investment, hardly enough to offset the overall decline of around $90 billion.
Yes, an optimistic silver lining, of an overall failed industry.
Copper Demand: Outstripping Supply Since 1925
Here's the important thing to know as an investor: The demand for copper is increasing nearly four times faster than the world's biggest miners can supply it.
Things like electric vehicles (EVs) and wind generators will substantially increase its use. The average gasoline-powered car contains about 55 pounds of copper, while electric vehicles and hybrids will have at least double that.
The average one-megawatt wind generator uses about four tons of copper. So does a one-megawatt solar farm.
The Green Energy industry is devouring copper.
Imagine if General Motors could just make a field of cars, square miles of car that sit idle, that would be considered a complete waste of money, yet that is what we have with Wind Turbines.

Just what is your point?
The Green Energy industry is devouring copper.

Just what is your point?
That millions of tons of copper sitting idle at Wind Turbines is a waste of natural resources and has caused an increase in pollution.

That millions of tons of copper sitting idle at Wind Turbines is a waste of natural resources and has caused an increase in pollution.
How is it sitting idle?
Are you saying that there would be no copper being mined if there were no wind turbines?
There are TWO questions there for you to answer.
Oops...he's gone away and started another thread on the same subject.
So-called green energy is anything but and that is true of all forms.

Good thing I don't care what they call it.

There are TWO questions there for you to answer.
Two questions, the first your stating that Wind Turbines spin 24 hours a day, 365 days in a row. That is an absurd contention on your part.
Second, your denying that copper is being used in Wind Turbines, another absurd contention.
Instances of copper theft and vandalism have increased significantly over the past two years, according to Park Insurance, a UK firm that specialises in covering wind projects. "We've definitely seen more claims recently," says Park's commercial manager, Mark Loud. "In one instance in the south of England, thieves used a pick-up truck to rip £12,000 of copper out of the ground."
The downtime and cost of replacing the metal are not the only setback developers can suffer. In one example in New Zealand, thieves accidentally caused the spillage of 20,000 litres of coolant oil from two transformers during failed attempt to rip out the copper.

yet you care enough to post your opinion, the person who sits idle and watches the crime, actually watches and enjoys, seems like he quietly supports the crime. In your case your not quiet with your support.
