Armed citizens are a good thing, for several reasons. Protecting family, property, and oneself is very important. And, that goes regardless of where one lives.

One of the victims was the President of the United States who was surrounded by the best trained, best armed cadre of security personnel in history.

How can Mrs. Futhey be expected to protect a classroom of terrorized students when the Secret Service could not protect the President from a gun?

The problem with those on the left is simple. They are the same class of people who turned their guns over to the SS before WWII. They are the same people who turned their guns over to Mao after the revolution. They are the same people who turned their guns over to Mussolini in WWII. They are the same people who turned their guns over to Stalin after the takeover. They are the same people who turned their guns over to Pol Pot after Vietnam and, they would be the very same people who would turn their guns over to the United States government if instructed to.
