I would bet there were plenty of non-Christians who complained about the nativity scene, too. Disrespecting religion is offensive to even some atheists. There is a difference between rude disrespect and not promoting something.Right. And if someone put up a scene of muslims facing Mecca with their asses in the air and being humped by goats there would be complaints about that, too.Why would they complain if the scene was innocuous?Zoning laws. I am willing to bet the farm that if it was a normal Nativity scene nobody would said a word. They had complaints so they decided to attack his silly scene with red tape. He removed the roof and is now in compliance with the city. Either way, I think people are making a mountain out of molehill over this incident.
Exactly. It wouldn't be an issue and the zone board wouldn't care. Meh.
I am sure there would be complaints and not just of Muslims. I don't think publicly displayed scenes of bestiality are very popular.
