Gyrocopter man is a hero in my book

Looks like the uber rich and their water-carriers (Washington politicians) have succeeded. No one cares that the gubmint has been for sale to the highest bidder:

Gyrocopter Pilot Doug Hughes Frustrated His Message Isn t Getting Through - NBC News
"We've got bigger problems in this country than worrying about whether the security around D.C. is ironclad," Hughes told The Associated Press. "We need to be worried about the piles of money that are going into Congress."

You people are clueless and lazy. You deserve everything that comes out of Washington

You lie. So you say government is sold to the higher bidder, while you post all day crying for more government. If you believe that, you would want less government.

Sadly you were right the first time and you're just a sap. It's the consequence of parroting politician talking points without processing what you are saying
tl;dr

You people are underwhelming. What ever happened to thinking-Americans who believed in protecting liberty? (that was a rhetorical question Mr. Repub-lite) :eusa_shhh:

Why is anyone, especially despicable liberals, complaining this guy broke the law? Obama selectively enforces it, particularly with respect to immigration, and shipped guns to drug dealers in Mexico, so why should other citizens need to follow the laws?

Immigration under Obama is down

The NRA sends guns to Mexico by encouraging lax gun laws in Arizona

Why is he a hero?...I am curious....please clarify if you would....for me...he just flew a helicopter onto government property...what exactly was heroic...?
he put his life at risk in non-violent protest for a cause he believes in deeply.
You may not believe it is heroic but it's pretty admirable
No one could know it was non-violent.
Any aircraft approaching the capital building should be shot out of the sky

the libtards all theses years thought

a " no flying zone" sign was good enough

to stop this sort of thing

what is like the third incident in the past couple of years

--LOL

something still needs to be done about private interests "purchasing ' elections.

^ step away from the big gov't, rw kool aid son.

Back to topic- why most people are fine w/ allowing high-ranking gov't offices being put up for sale to the highest bidder (the 1%)

His "message" made no sense

If I decided to drive through a security checkpoint to protest global warming, what have I proved other than I have a death wish?

He should have been shot down
Some interesting questions here. OK, according to one post, they knew he was coming. So, did the security systems track him all the way? Were they able to track him right to the point of landing on the lawn?

The man performed a very good test of the security systems. Yes, if someone comes in like that unknown, then we had better have a way of dealing with it.

More a fool than a criminal. And, if he pointed out flaws in the security system, a usefull fool.

Anyone intentionally violating security systems risks being shot. That gyrocopter was capable of inflicting great damage and could have killed hundreds. We should not risk our citizens for some nutjob

If the guy did announce his intentions he should have been told not to do it or face the most severe consequences the law allows. D.C. is an area of highly restricted air space. Unless you're a private or commercial aircraft on a vectored approach to Reagan Nat'l you got no business being there.

If they don't throw the book at this guy it's a big mistake IMO.
