Here's hoping that everybody has a safe and joyous New Year celebration.
Personally my hope for the New Year is that we Americans will (at least a little bit) learn to give those with whom we have disagreements the benefit of the doubt and assume that their opinions and motives are grounded in morality and good intentions; to disagree without being so very disagreeable. We're all in this together and the Republic is ours to preserve or not, political parties will not and cannot do it, politicians will not and cannot do it and bureaucrats will not and cannot do it, only We the People can do it.
