You forgot to mention that they are also almost universally scorned and seen as one of the worst ideologies that anyone can possibly adhere to.

I wonder if he bothered to realize that at least a quarter of Americans are conservatives and the vast majority are Christians. We "de-Nazified" the Nazis, forced them to take re-education to learn about the virtues of democracy. And the Nazi party was outlawed in Germany, and it is still illegal in Germany to form a Nazi party or display Nazi symbols.

That's what the prof is talking about, forced re-programming of conservative Christians, and outlawing the Christian religion, and Christian symbols like the cross and the crucifix.
