You and your boyfriend sj should settle your argument in the privacy of your bedroom, not here online. You're both a couple of idiotic, racist, fucking cowards and dimwits.
Don't you have....

You two idiotic, racist, cowardly rump-riders are made for each other.

Nope. The sad, hard truth of the matter is that White America made a much better showing in these mid-terms than Minority America, but...

Regardless of race...

The entire country seems very dissatisfied with the direction that the country has been heading in, and the country at large will not forget in a mere two years...

The Dems are done for a while, unless the Pubs can't field a halfway decent candidate in 2016 that people can get behind - as they failed to do in 2008 and 2012.

Time for the other side to get a turn, again.

Democrats seem to be quite happy about losing the white vote. Surely they didn't think they would retain it.

And let's not forget,

In 2012, in the total votes for House members, the Democrats won that national popular vote by over ONE MILLION.

And yet, the Republicans won the House by 33 seats. Everything the GOP 'majority' in the House has done for the last 2 years was done by a party that did not represent the majority of American voters.

The People's House does not represent the People.

NYc has a better analysis than WQ, BUT . . . the point is that the GOP is aware that it cannot win without reaching out to non-whites and minorities.

Dems got cocky and stepped on their collective dick.

We have two years to convince them that we can can govern rather than obstruct.

Jake....the corollary is equally true. The Dems better start reaching out to white voters....and fast. :)

Yes it does. The GOP won the plurality of votes to elect the incoming Congress by +5%.

The Dems are in the minority for a reason. The Obama minority turnout is a thing of the past. No black man on top of the ticket....the Dems have major trouble.

The People's House does, indeed, represent The People, on a District by District basis.

The anomaly of cumulative popular voting-numbers is something that both parties must take into account, in every election.

The losers, of course, belittle the system, while the victors du jour revel in it.

It's your (side's) turn in the barrel.

Don't whine and cry about it here.

Suck it up and resolve to do a better job next time.

You have the national total of votes for the House for this election?

So you flatly deny that Republican gerrymandering has given them an unfair advantage?

That's one of the reasons they want amnesty. 13 million illegals voting for freebies will give them quite an edge.

Pffffttt... I flaty agree that gerrymandering by BOTH political parties has been rampant for much of the post-Civil-War era and that it continues unabated and unabashed today, as evidenced by the Democratic gerrymandering of US Congressional districts in northeastern Illinois - where I live - over the past four to six years.

I agree. Since the Dems have usually been better at these groups, they won't forget: just bring out, dust off, and follow the play book. We need to do it better.

Steny Hoyer House Democrats won majority of 2012 popular vote PolitiFact

While it is technically right that more democratic votes were cast for house members in 2012 it is because of democratic concentrations in the cities and particular states like cal and New York. It is the tyranny of the majority that our founders have protected us from. If you would follow carbineers logic politicians would only have to campaign in big cities and the rest of us be damned. We have a republic not a pure democracy. This line of reasoning goes nowhere and is just the usual liberal obfuscation.
