'Hatred Towards Conservative Women is Last Acceptable Misogyny in U.S.'

Listen, ask yourself one question: What would happen if Glen Beck or Hannity, O'Reilly had said that about Andrea Mitchell?

It's bulls*it that MSNBC hasn't fired Ed Shultz yet. Who can forget when he encouraged voter fraud because 'at least it would keep those bastards out'.

These childish liberals can whine on and on about how biased Fox News is, but it wouldn't have someone on the air like Ed Shultz. Ed Shultz is the living embodiment of the left, and let me tell you 2012 is going to be the proliferation of the libertarian sentiment, and that is what the Tea Party is, and it stands in the face of liberalism, which has bankrupted this country and robed the black community of education and empowerment. Ron Paul 2021!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Question 1: Did Glen Beck, on the air, call Cindy Sheehan a slut?

Yes

Question 2: Has Glen Beck been on Fox News since?

Yes

Question 3: Would Fox News have someone like Ed Schultz on the air?

Yes

Therefore, you are incorrect.

One particularly sick and twisted right-winger called Sheehan a “slut.”

“Cindy Sheehan is a tragedy slut.” – Glenn Beck, August 15, 2005

So what did CNN do? It turned around and gave this right-wing asshole, Glenn Beck, his own hour-long program, so he could spew his hate speech every day to unsuspecting viewers.

We’re not talking about Fox News here. We’re talking about CNN.

And "tragedy slut" is a fairly good description of Cindy Sheehan's exploitation of her son's death.

Do you guys even remember how you have treated Hilary and pelosi ?

Boxer and Di Fi?

Amy Carter when she was but a child?

Chelsea?

You never seen to mind women being treated like crap unless its some right wing woman.

Pointing to bad behavior IN NO WAY justifies other bad behavior.

I can't believe you would implicitly approve, by virtue of trying to justify it with other examples, of all the sexist behavior towards women, regardless of their party affiliation.

What America has painfully learned since former Alaska governor Sarah Palin was first announced as John McCain's running mate in 2008 is that it is completely acceptable for media members to mercilessly attack a woman in print or on television and radio if she is a conservative.

In reality, not only is it condoned, it's applauded.

You can even win awards for doing so - just ask Katie Couric.

Last time I checked, the media mercilessly "attacks" politicians...their gender is irrelevant.

This is just Newsbusters being co-dependent to Palin's victim-hood.

Really? So...please contrast the media's treatment.. of say...Obama VS Hillary Clinton in the last election, and tell us who was treated better?

Then you can contrast the treatment of Obama VS Sarah Palin. Which should be pretty simple...since the difference is pretty glaring. :eusa_liar:

So point out these "glaring" differences in how the media treated these two candidates.

Was it the super tough questions like "what do you read"?

So Glenn Beck has not worked for Fox news the past 3 years or whatever?

Really? Anyone agree with this idiot?:lol::lol:

OK, ironically,

want to know who appears to be the public figure most vigorously defending Ed Schultz?

GLENN BECK.

Glenn Beck Ed Scultz | Ed Schultz Suspended | Ed Schultz Laura Ingraham | Mediaite

Oh, and just for the record, not that it matters around here because the wingnuts decide what you believe no matter what you say, my position is that Schultz was very very very wrong and very very very stupid to say such a thing on the air.

How were the male candidates treated any differently than the female candidates? How were the liberal candidates treated any differently than the conservative candidates?

Sure...you heard Chris Matthews so called objective assesment of Hillary above.

Here is his objective assesment of Obama...

How were the male candidates treated any differently than the female candidates? How were the liberal candidates treated any differently than the conservative candidates?

Did the media snipe about the mens clothing or body?

Did they snipe about their sexuality (or lack of it)?

How about their relationship with their spouse being their "draw"?

Did they draw attention to every aspect of their physical nature?

Attack their motherhood/fatherhood? Parenting?

Make cracks about their preconceived gender roles?

Really? You want to go with the opinions of pundits? How about we compare what Hannity or Limpbaugh says about ANY liberals? Come on, get serious...

Apparently you don't recall how thrilled Chris Matthews was at Bush's codpiece?

Who, in the media did those things? Cite specific examples.

Why do you think Mitch McDaniels didn't run? Politics are nasty these days, period.

Funny you should mention that. During the dem primary elections...the only "pundits" saying publicly that the medias sexist treatment of Hillary was wrong...were (oddly enough) Rush and Hannity. Hannity talked about it several times both on radio and TV even.

So...are you excusing Chris Matthews glaring double standard now? Because he was not the only media figure participating in this double standard.

Several were cited in the videos...did you pay attention to them? After several years of this stuff there are lots of examples. I can't help it if you choose to play dumb and ignore them. Both Hillary and Geraldine Ferraro talked about it. Gerladine wrote about it too...and was called "racist" by her own party because of it. You dems are a hoot.

Alan Colmes attacked Sarah Palin quite viciously about her being the "cause" of her baby's down syndrome in his blogs. Guess you missed that...but it was posted all over these boards at the time. He recieved so much grief from women about it... he took it down off of his site and closed his comments section.

But the media didn't treat the candidates any differently whether they were conservative women or liberal women.

ALL candidates are subject to mean politics. Male, female, conservative, liberal...period.

Blogs aren't "the media". Have you taken a little trip over to Freepers...ever?

Good then it shouldn't be too hard for you to point out the "mean" quotes lobbed at Obama by the MSNBC and CNN pundits such as Chris Matthews and Keith Olberman who both went after Hillary and Ferraro. I will wait.

While I agree with the premise of your comments; that Conservative women are definitely a group that it is acceptable to attack in our society; your analogy has a major hole in it.....

Sarah Palin is about as Conservative as Josef Stalin. Conservative women are individuals like my sister-in-law.... 27 years old; wife, homemaker, mother of three; has never worked a day in her life in a "business". I'm not even sure that she's ever voted. Her wedding vows included the words..... "With this ring I thee wed. With this body I thee worship. With all my wordly possessions I thee endow." THAT is a Conservative woman.
Yeah....that's a......

....alright; the perfect-match for some dude who enjoys the whole control-trip (involved), when one adult babysits another....

....for the rest o' his Life!!
