I have a neighbor that bought a dairy in Hawaii. They're only 2 dairies over there and they bought on of them.
Hawaii ranks 39th in worst school system.

The standard teaching salary on the mainland U.S. might be a comfortable life but not in Hawaii.

Hawaii is VERY expensive to live in. My wife and her family are from there and one by one they've all been relocating here to Vegas for exactly that reason.

Teaching isn't an easy job. Even teaching at upscale private school can be stressful. People don't discipline their kids anymore and their bad behavior is transferred at school.

Then the parents themselves are a bunch of complainers.

I love teaching but it is stressful. Administration loves dumping paper work on us, kids misbehave and parents think their kids are the next Newton or Einstein.

Not everyone can be a teacher. I work with teachers that have been teaching 15+ years and they are awful at teaching and hate children.

I wouldn't advise people to jump into teaching because they are unemployed. You should be teaching because you like it, not because you need a job.
