I still can't believe adults were sitting there CHANTING, Obama.

creepy creepy creepy

I was a bit unnerved by that also...

An example of mob psychology and group-think...

I think it would have been much better to just have security go over to the hecklers and insist that they allow the President to speak, or leave.

No, this is how you handle hecklers.
For those too young to remember, Hubert Humphrey was part of the old Democratic Party, the one that still thought America was great, the party that carried on with integrity. You could oppose their policies but you had to admire them. RIP.

I remember Hubert Humphrey - I was in junior high at the time - and he was surely a feisty guy who took crap from no one... but he was also a principled person - among the last of the generation of politicians who were in it to serve the country.

Good video clip...

The president’s speech was also briefly interrupted by a shout of “Abortion! Abortion! Innocent Blood!’’ Two men and a young boy were escorted out of the room by police as the crowd tried to drown them out with chants of “Coakley! Coakley!’’

Coakley aides said the men were from California; a Boston Police spokesman did not have names for the men and did not believe anyone was arrested. There were no indications that the men had ties to Brown’s campaign, although abortion has been an increasingly charged issue in the campaign.

From California?????They have pro-life people out there????? LOLOLOLOLOL hmmmmmm- After Danny Glover's comment on the lack of an agreement on Global Warming CAUSING the earthquake in Haiti-it's no wonder. I am tellin ya, they have something funny in that water out in California. LOLOLOLOL

That one lady to Obama's left appeared to be quite the psycho....spit was flying from her mouth as she chanted...who says the Democrats aren't in lockstep with the cult of personality surrounding The Barry and all he wants?.

Humphrey would have made a great president

Yes he would. But he was part of the early Democratic Party trend of nominating the worst candidate out there. In this case McGovern. I doubt he could have beaten Nixon though.

I have to say, this makes the anti-Obama side (whoever that may be) look like uncivilized buffoons.

How do two hecklers represent the entire "anti Obama side"?? WHo is the "anti Obama side"?? Is it Democrats on the left, disgusted with his sell out to insurance companies? Or is it Republicans on the right, simply disgusted?

The only buffoons I saw at that rally was Marcia Coakley (as teddy Kennedy son called her), the Obama and that crowd of people chanting, OBAMA..

HHH did not beat Nixon in 1968, but it was a close race if I remember correctly. The funny thing was that Nixon got about 55% of the electoral votes with only about 42 or 43% of the popular vote.

Hubert Humphrey talks so fast that listening to him is like trying to read Playboy magazine with your wife turning the pages. Barry Goldwater

Everytime I see Humphrey it reminds me of that quote.

That is an interesting thought! Talk about either a super consensus in order to get a candidate, or civil war!
