They used data collection to create a false narrative that Trump was communicating with Russian officials to undermine the election. They found out that Hillary paid for it. Duram is in the process of gathering witnesses to show that Hillary spied on the Trump campaign and on his communications while POTUS. Hillary's lawyer not only lied to FBI agensts about the source of his information but lied that he wasn't a lawyer working for the Hillary campaign.
We also saw on numerous occasions that anything Trump did that was classified somehow found it's way into the headlines. So obviously they were spying on him.
We also discovered that planted members of his own admin were acting as moles to undermine everything he did.
