Ginsberg is not stepping down. obama will have to have her assassinated. Holder is not only unpopular with republicans. Democrats don't like him either. He would never be confirmed. He's either going to run for a senate seat someplace or make his own run for president on the platform of "when you go black, you can't go back".

Harry Reid changed the Senate rule regarding Federal appointments, but left the rules in place for Supreme Court appointments. He would still need 60 votes to get Holdup confirmed.
Personally I believe Holdup is resigning because he got some bad health news. He had a heart "event" in February, and maybe his doctor told him to retire or die.
I do know his actions have caused a health crisis. He's made half this nation sick to their stomachs.

So rather than wait for aging erg to drop dead...they will run Eric Holder...a racist onto the Supreme Court. I'm not saying I know what's going to happen. But I know what the DOJ has done under him. If a Republican DOJ had done the things this one has done, there would be hell to pay with the MSN. But a Republican DOJ wouldn't do the kind of things this guy has done.
