The singer made the comments in an interview with The Times published Friday, in which she said she believes the two accusers, Wade Robson and James Safechuck, about the abuse they allege they suffered at the hands of Jackson as children. But she also expressed some sympathy for Jackson.

“His sexual needs were his sexual needs, coming from whatever childhood he has or whatever DNA he has,” she was quoted as saying. “You can say ‘molested,’ but those children, as you heard them say [the grown-up Robson and Safechuk], they were thrilled to be there. They both married and they both have children, so it didn’t kill them.”
