Private enterprise has always come up with something better when something became impractical. The government is extremely short sighted in how they demand we replace fossil fuels instead of allowing that to happen naturally as it always has.

1) Demand shot up globally after Covid ended while production was ratcheted down. Someone should have explained the law of supply and demand to you at an early age.
2) Oil companies shut down obsolete refineries during Covid, and it wasn't cost effective to start them up again.

It wasn't because an oil exec wet his $2000.00 suit when he heard Biden didn't like him anymore.
