How Biden directly caused Americans to have to spend more of their money!

Yeah, guy, you can keep repeating this, but it doesn't address the issue. We are running out of Fossil fuels, and they are destroying the planet.

The question is, why do you want to keep being abused by the oil executives.
The lithium, cobalt, manganese, copper, iron etc. are also finite and will likely be used up before fossil fuels are. Private enterprise has always come up with something better when something became impractical. The government is extremely short sighted in how they demand we replace fossil fuels instead of allowing that to happen naturally as it always has.

There is no consensus that fossil fuels are destroying the planet--for sure they provide ways to protect the planet and the flora and fauna on it that were impossible before we harnessed that form of energy.

And there is zero evidence that going to all electric, wind, solar will make one whit's difference in climate change.

Well, not likely, and the amount we would need for an electric economy would be both recyclable and less material dependent.

Actually, there is total consensus among scientists.

Nobody else's opinions matter.

A scientist looks at all the opinions, all the data, all the evidence and not just the ones that support a theory however popular.

Those who do not do that are not practicing science but rather pushing an agenda they pretend is science.

I am sure you'll find a few scientists who are willing to prostitute themselves for the oil companies, but this is pretty much settled science.

The world is getting warmer and human beings are causing it.

And you keep ignoring the point, i.e. Biden 's stupid guarantee to put fossil fuels out of business causes higher prices today!

Then please explain this:
There's one place in the world that's getting colder instead of warmer. It's one of the most befuddling questions in climate science. As carbon pollution cranks up the global thermostat, the Southern Ocean is getting cooler, not warmer. While Arctic sea ice has dwindled, Antarctic sea ice has persisted and even grown.
Plus in the past 100 years 12% of the land mass had fewer than 4 weather temperature recording stations. Was that taken into consideration,... WHILE
"Urban heat islands" occur when cities replace natural land cover with dense concentrations of pavement, buildings, and other surfaces that absorb and retain heat

Nope. Politicians say shit all the time... and frankly, it has little to do with pricing.

The reason why gas prices went up.

1) Demand shot up globally after Covid ended while production was ratcheted down. Someone should have explained the law of supply and demand to you at an early age.
2) Oil companies shut down obsolete refineries during Covid, and it wasn't cost effective to start them up again.

It wasn't because an oil exec wet his $2000.00 suit when he heard Biden didn't like him anymore.

NOTHING you wrote has any substantiation! Just your personal and totally uninformed opinion.

Maybe you should have some proof AS I HAVE!!!

What I have constantly said that YOU constantly ignore is because Biden GUARANTEES to kill fossil fuels. The fossil fuel companies will do what this the CEO of Chevron, Mike Wirth's response:"You’re looking at committing capital 10 years out, that will need decades to offer a return for shareholders, in a policy environment where governments around the world are saying, ‘We don’t want these products.’
Getting lenders to choke off money to fossil fuel companies is the next needed move for the industry to address the material risks that the coal, oil and gas industry faces,” says Leslie Samuelrich, president at investment advisory firm Green Century Capital Management.

"If you make U.S. energy production more expensive and difficult, then the price of gas goes up. It’s not complicated, and it’s why Americans are paying over $4 at the pump," Banks told FOX Business.
But of course YOU don't provide any proof as I have... so who should people believe?

Biden’s renewable energy rush is making gas prices skyrocket

President Biden is restricting America’s ability to produce its own oil and is instead relying on foreign countries, some of which have governments run by totalitarian regimes, to produce more oil to lower gas prices. Biden’s decision to cut off avenues for more domestic supply of oil by canceling the Keystone XL pipeline and limiting exploration on federal lands and waters gives the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) significant leverage over American energy consumption.

Yeah, guy, frankly, my opinion holds more weight than your so-called "facts".

The oil companies didn't raise prices because Biden said mean stuff about them.

They raised prices globally because of global demand issues.

I'll tell you what... Let's ask the forum which they prefer:
1) your uninformed, highly subjective personal opinion or

2) the numerous substantiating comments I provided like the following in this OP:
The CEO of Chevron, Mike Wirth's response:"You’re looking at committing capital 10 years out, that will need decades to offer a return for shareholders, in a policy environment where governments around the world are saying, ‘We don’t want these products.’”

But unlike you I'll ask the forum readers their position, do they prefer comments originating from your limited experiences to comments substantiated from experts?

It's kind of delusional to think oil companies cut production because Joe Biden hurt their feelings...

Nobody is claiming any such thing.

Biden has not “hurt the oil companies' feelings”; he's announced policy positions which directly attack these companies, and indicate that as long as his policies are being pursued, it is much less likely to be profitable to maintain normal levels of production. He has directly attacked them, and by way of them, has attacked the American people; the very people who was supposed to represent and serve. It's not anyone's “feelings” that he has deliberately, maliciously harmed; it is the bottom line, the ability of companies to produce goods that we, the American people, need, at prices that we can afford. Oil, for one thing, of course, but all the other goods and services that depend thereon.

I think destroying the environment would have a bigger effect on the economy, but it's not like BIden has done all that much to destroy their livlihoods.

We've been letting big oil screw us since Rockerfeller... maybe it's time to do something else?

I could care less what the forum thinks...

"Delusional?"
In fact, every consumer of most goods and services benefits from the tremendous production efficiencies made possible by fossil fuels. As Matt Ridley put it,

“The story of energy is simple. Once upon a time all work was done by people for themselves using their own muscles. Then there came a time when some people got other people to do the work for them, and the result was pyramids and leisure for a few, drudgery and exhaustion for the many. Then there was a gradual progression from one source of energy to another: human to animal to water to wind to fossil fuel. In each case, the amount of work one man could do for another was amplified by the animal or the machine.”
As Ridley further explained, in his book The Rational Optimist, fossil fuels are what “made modern living standards possible…

While America’s economy is less reliant on fossils than previous decades—fossils fuels accounted for 94 percent of all US energy consumption in 1966 —they still represent the lifeblood of our economy, roughly 80 percent of the nation’s energy consumption, according to federal statistics.

“Fossil fuels are not a self-destructive addiction that is destroying the planet,” noted Alex Epstein in his best-selling book The Moral Case For Fossil Fuels. “They are a life-enhancing technology that is improving the planet.”

The above is NOT delusional!! It is reality!
THIS IS DELUSIONAL!

Whatever, guy. Nearly every application of petroleum has a green alternative... more often than not, more cost effective.

Fossil fuels are running out and destroying the planet. We really need to stand up to big oil.

We have 47 years of oil left at CURRENT consumption levels.

Things are so good, in fact, that Engineering and Technology says "with the use of the innovative technologies, available fossil fuel resources could increase from the current 2.9 trillion barrels of oil equivalent to 4.8 trillion by 2050, which is almost twice as much as the projected global demand." That number could even reach 7.5 trillion barrels if technology and exploration techniques advance even faster.

This information backs up the idea that Earth is actually an oil-producing machine. We call energy sources such as crude oil and natural gas fossil fuels based on the assumption that they are the products of decaying organisms, maybe even dinosaurs themselves. But the label is a misnomer. Research from the last decade found that hydrocarbons are synthesized abiotically.

In other words, as Science magazine has reported, the "data imply that hydrocarbons are produced chemically" from carbon found in Earth's mantle. Nature magazine calls the product of this process an "unexpected bounty " of "natural gas and the building blocks of oil products."

So don't feel guilty about exploiting this "bounty." There seems to be plenty to go around — and there will probably still be a lot left when technology, not hurried by government mandates and subsidies but guided by market forces, produces practical and affordable renewable energy.

Feel free to put your money, and your lifestyle, where your mouth is; and stop using, or otherwise benefitting from any goods or services that are dependent on fossil fuels. Let us all know how that works out for you.

When its' real hot 100F.....the wind ain't never blowing.
When its' -30F in the Winter the Sun don't shine on your Solar panels (covered in ice and snow).

Your fantasy does not work and is not cost effective for the AVG consumer.
SHUP loons.

BS. you fall for anything they say from "ICE AGE" to "OZONE" to "WARMING" to "CLIMATE CHANGE".

Fix real problems. Not made up crap.

Nobody serious ever thought there was going to be another ice age. One magazine article speculated one might happen in a few thousand years.

Ozone was a real problem that WAS solved. CFC's were largely banned, and it was RONALD REAGAN of all people who led the charge. You see, that's what happens when you put the rhetoric aside, listen to the science, and come up with solutions.
