No. Responding to what you've posted. I already made my own status clear. Multiple degrees, two from University of Chicago. However, I'm 57 years old, with congenital 75% hearing loss. So far, unable to find permanent position in teaching or other fields. So I'm subbing during the school year, minimum wage part time then, full time in summer. I hear your condescension. I worked for less than minimum wage as a young man. Then I went to school, learned a trade and MADE MY OWN LIFE BETTER.

Today's minimum wage is worth 25 to 35 percent less in buying power than it was when you were a young man and the cost of going to school in real dollars has risen by around 500%. We had it easy compared to kids today.

My ex, who I'm very happy to say recommended my SIL for this position, was the head of IT at AT&T Midwest for many years. He was frustrated in that they required a degree for hires. He got to a point that he told his secretary to sent him DeVry graduates first for applicants. Those from U of I, Northwestern, and U of Iowa didn't have the basics down and too much time would be needed to bring them up to speed. Time is money.
