Do you really want to talk about the righteousness of the Amish? My grandfather left the Amish because of ungodliness, and I have a lot of knowledge about them.

The Amish do a lot of things right, but claiming God is blessing them because they avoid vaccines is not one of them.

zaangalewa, please go back and re-read both my post and the one I am responding to. Hopefully you will see that my point is that living a good life and calling upon God are not always the safeguard from harm many hope to receive or should expect.

What normally everyone knows - specially happy Christians.

The innocent often suffer as much as the guilty throughout history.

You are totally wrong. The innocent suffer. The guilty do not suffer. I know for example from an Austrian Nazi, who was a leader in a kind of concentration camp. He was not only responsible for the death of a member of my family - this mass murderer was responsible for the sufferings and death of thousands of innocent human beings. After world war 2 he got a new name and identity and lived in Austria. He was a lucky man. Married. Had some children. Was well respected from everyone. He died when we was very old. And I guess never in his life he had only a little to suffer, because of only one of his crimes. Perhaps he was not only a lucky man but even a proud man because of all of his crimes. Five years after his death someone found out who he really had been.

And now imagine I will knock on heavens door one day and this man will open. I will think about this problem 0.1 seconds and then I will close the door and knock where's written "hell" and where hopefully Peter will open the door.
