The GOP had unified power for years under Dumbya, and did nothing to rising premiums and higher deductibles except tell Americans that its the free market at work. They did hand Iraq over to Iran, though. Nice priorities.

They are lower than anticipated. Same thing happened with the costs of Medicare D, which was passed back when new entitlements were apparently okay (that is, when passed by the GOP, the party of small government & free markets ) .

First, lower than expected by whom?

....and the two States that get pointed to in this are Ca and NY...two states who already had many of the mandated items in their plans.

Also...even "lower than expected" were true, you just admitted that premiums are higher...and they are, much higher.

Kind of makes your lungs explode laughing over Obama's promise, "I will not sign a plan that adds one dime to our deficits -- either now or in the future", does it not?

Now they want to defund (delay) it for one year.

One year from now is the mid-term elections which the Republicans hope will give them a majority in Congress at which time they can then vote to repeal ObamaCare again, this time with the repeal passing both houses of Congress.

The GOP knows that if ObamaCare launches and then runs for a whole year, a lot of the kinks will get worked out, and millions and millions and millions and millions of people will grow to like it. A lot.
