Hudson Taylor - Missionary to China

[Book of Jeremiah]

This is Hudson Taylor's story. Hudson Taylor was a great missionary to China and had a very deep and abiding relationship with the Lord Jesus. The LORD used him mightily in China and this series on Hudson Taylor will be a great blessing to you.

Hudson refused to take up offerings when he preached because he was determined to trust in the LORD alone for his provisions. He was raised in a devoutly christian home.

As a young teen he had abandoned his faith for a time and did not believe in Jesus anymore. Then at age 17 yrs old, the LORD arranged for him to find a gospel trac - when he happened across the words, "It is Finished". This led to his revelation of Jesus Christ by the Holy Spirit and he was fully converted. His mother who had prayed fervently for him was fully aware of this conversion as she knew the LORD had answered her prayer. Such was her faith.

You will enjoy his story and be encouraged to learn that God has a plan for each and every life! He has a plan and a purpose for all men, women and children and He is watching over His Word and the prayers of His people to perform it and bring forth your destiny!

Of all the books I have read interpreting the Song of Solomon I believe Taylor's book to be the finest ever written on the subject. How did he unlock the mystery of the Song of Solomon? I do not want you to perish in hell! I know hell is real! I know it is! I want you to be in heaven! Safe and sound! All of you!

How would you feel if your building were on fire and you lived on the top floor? If I be your neighbor, should I decide to pass on by your door because you are grouchy in the morning? Or should I bang on that door loudly and shout, Steven! The place where you dwell is on fire! Get out now! Nope! telemarketers get paid in cash or check. Missionaries get paid with thank you' s and God bless',

Missionaries give out much and get back little. They are there to show the love of Jesus first, and if the time comes, then to speak of the Lord Jesus.

I have known missionaries who could not carry a sentence in a 5 gallon bucket, all they knew to do was to help people, they never said a word about Jesus, but they sure did help a lot of people, because they wanted to emulate Jesus.

Do some homework on missionaries before casting judgement on them. Comments like yours are akin to: A black woman robbed a store, thus all black women must be criminals.

Missionaries who have never said a word about Jesus are not messengers of the Gospel and therein not to be confused with those who are, UllysesS.

We may as well call the UN peacekeepers missionaries if that is the standard but thanks be to God it is not. Jesus Christ is quite clear what the great commission is and it is found in Romans 10: 8,9,10, and Mark 16. Blessed are the feet of those who bring the good news. ( The devil can feign compassionate too. So what?)

Steven R. is being specific in his addressing the missionaries of the gospel of Jesus Christ and that is what I specificly addressed. I do appreciate Steven R. and his response because it shows he is sincerely trying to figure this thing out. I believe in due time, he will. Unlike some who claim to have the truth and yet continue to refuse to walk in it.
