Hunter Biden to plead guilty of two minor crimes (tax and a gun) Two year probation likely

Misdemeanors, to which he plead guilty. He lied on the gun application form, nothing to do with gun violence.

Lying to ATF on gun-purchase form yields few prosecutions, data shows

Form 4473 — the Firearm Transaction Record — is a six-page document that must be filled out whenever someone buys a firearm from a licensed firearm dealer.

The form asks questions including whether the person buying the gun is a felon, whether the person is a fugitive from justice or convicted of domestic abuse, whether the person is addicted to drugs and whether the person is the actual buyer of the firearm.
This tweet by ATF’s Houston office led a swarm of Twitter users to ask why the bureau didn’t charge Hunter Biden, the president’s son, for allegedly lying on Form 4473 when he purchased a handgun in October 2018. The controversy prompted us to request statistics from the Justice Department to determine whether someone falsely filling out the form faced much of a risk of prosecution.
They didn't charge him with illegal disposal of a weapon. Once he bought that gun, he was responsible for what happens to it afterwards.
Any kid finding that gun in the trash could shoot someone or shoot himself.

Wait a minute. The mother of the kid who shot the elementary school teacher in VA was also charged with federal gun laws. She plead guilty to felony charge of lying on the background check form. In the deal, she's still looking to serve some time in prison (up to 2 years). So, how and why is Hunter going to get a misdemeanor charge and no jail time for doing the same thing that Deja Taylor did? The poorer black woman is going to do time while the rich, privileged white man is looking to get nothing more than a slap on the wrist. I see something like this, and I see why black people have complaints about the criminal justice system. Some of those complaints are legitimate.

For those who want to talk about two-tiered justice and equality/equity, how do you explain the difference in deals and punishments?

Deja Taylor pleads guilty of federal gun charges

The Rapist and Traitor has been committing Tax Evasion for years and you people turned a blind eye to that - hypocrite much?

The weapons charge was improperly filling out a form, he failed to state he had been a drug addict.

The Rapist and Traitor has been indicted twice, on a total of 71-Counts including 31-Counts of Violating the Espionage Act of 1917.

David Weiss (appointed by Rapist and Traitor) negotiated the plea deal, go and bitch to him.

Indeed, and now we all know what you really think about "gun crimes". It's VERY valuable information.

But according to newly revealed Justice Department records, the odds of being charged for lying on this form are virtually nonexistent. In the 2019 fiscal year, when Hunter Biden purchased his gun, federal prosecutors received 478 referrals for lying on Form 4473 — and filed just 298 cases, according to data extracted from the U.S. attorneys’ case management system. That’s out of approximately 27 million background checks undertaken in a 12-month period.

The numbers were roughly similar for fiscal 2018 (444 referrals and 271 cases) and fiscal 2020 (433 referrals and 243 cases). The data does not indicate the success rate of the prosecutions.

Yeah, sure "PC at the bank" :abgg2q.jpg:
and of course the "waiting on delivery" DO NOT HOLD YOUR BREATH
Yeah.....maybe the FBI can go to the US Postal Service and intercept the documents in the mail before the Republican Committee Chairman gets his grubby paws on them.

Did he lie?

Oh snap

does that make it less of a felony crime?

More importantly, I don't ever need to hear anything about "gun control" from you, ever again, because now we all know what you really think about it.

LOL!

Of course they offered a plea deal.
That would mean a conviction....which means the left would claim he was guilty, which he is not.

And no evidence is compelling to a leftist, unless the MSM declares it to be compelling.

That is the way plea deals work
You plead guilty to lesser charges in order to get more serious charges dropped

Trump has refused.
He will either be exonerated or some charges will stick.
His choice

Yet trespassing is worthy of at least 3 years in prison if you did it on Jan 6th.
Cheating on your taxes is similar to invading the Capitol and trying to hang the VP? And you retards wonder why no one takes you seriously. :itsok:

Course the laptop has evidence of roughly a hundred felonies....so the federal gun charge might just stick this time.

A big-shot Hollywood lawyer reportedly paid off Hunter Biden’s delinquent taxes — which a source told The Post amounted to more than $2 million — as President Biden’s notoriously troubled son awaits the results of a Delaware grand jury’s investigation into his personal finances.

Kevin Morris, an entertainment attorney and novelist who earned a fortune representing the co-creators of “South Park” and won a Tony Award as the co-producer of “The Book of Mormon,” footed Hunter Biden’s overdue taxes totaling over $2 million — more than twice what was previously reported, a source familiar with conversations between the two told The Post.

So the tax violation is for filing late.
Did Crackhead pay taxes on that gift?

If you were allowed to plead guilty, that's what you would get.

But an ordinary American would be fortunately to get that deal.

The only reason for this deal is to stop the Trump DOJ that takes power in 2025 from giving a just sentence.
Not true. He already paid the taxes and the penalties for the gun charges were reduced by legislation sponsored by Republicans. The sentence is in line what anyone would, given the circumstances.
