Scalia is saying the court's rulings are a threat to democracy. They certainly can be and have over the centuries.

I agree but not over this. He is just being partisan.

I've never lived in another country, but I don't really want to from everything I've heard. I like my country and we are relatively free (compared to a lot of other places), and do other countries have a Bill of Rights for their people like ours? Our country is also more unique in that we are a combination of people from all over the world. Now, I have the sudden urge to sing "Proud to be An American"

Scalia is saying the court's rulings can be and are a threat to democracy. They certainly can be and have over the centuries. I certainly believe Citizens United is subversive. Money is not free speech.
