I really love my country, but when it comes to leftist spinning how much it sucks, I just believe what they tell me and never question it at all, cuz I really hate America.Yes, our country is simply great for many, many reasons and, all in all, I'd rather live the rest of my days within the U.S. and enjoy all that she has to offer.
However, facts are facts.....and the right wing segment of our society that blindly espouse their belief in "American exceptionalism," are simply not dealing with facts.
Consider that when it comes to healthcare we rank 37th in the world, while spending almost 3 times as much as anywhere else on the planet. Further, when it comes to life-expectancy, the US has an average of 79 years, compared to 81 in Germany, Austria and the Netherlands.......compared to 82 in France, Italy, Sweden, Spain and Canada......abd compared to 83 in countries like Japan and Switzerland.
So, when we boast of our "exceptionalism," ...at least regarding our longevity....we best deal with facts
going to an appointment is much different financially than having something seriously happen to you or if you contract one of them expensive diseases....there aint many "regular" folk that can just do what Seinfeld used to do....just whip out the check book....looks like the whiners are still whining , what else is it that they want to be given ?? U.S. Healthcare Ranked Dead Last Compared To 10 Other Countries
Earlier this year, Cadillac ran a controversial TV ad that first aired during the opening ceremonies of the 2014 Winter Olympics. It was called “Poolside” and featured actor Neal McDonough extolling America’s work ethic over other countries — specifically France.
Turns out that many of those “other countries” (including France) score better than the U.S. in one key metric not included in Cadillac’s TV spot — healthcare. At least that’s according to The Commonwealth Fund in their latest report “Mirror, Mirror On The Wall — 2014 Update” (pdf here).
For this year’s survey on overall health care, The Commonwealth Fund ranked the U.S. dead last .
