At least they elected the entire horse. The state of political dialogue is senseless these days. Screechy offensive speech is celebrated whether it has a substantive point or not. Both sides engage in it. They are encouraged by The populace who say it gives voice to their frustrations. We don't just tolerate it, we blur it with reality TV and crave it. But like heroin we need more and more and will ultimately overdose.Our government is supposed to be run by common citizens, not career politicians in it for themselves.

Read about Andrew Jackson and the hatred he saw from the opposition parties or Abraham Lincoln or Theodore Roosevelt.
Hell through the history of this fine nation there have moments when many thought the Union was over even including the North and South war, and yet this fine nation marches on...
So again the toxic political environment you see today is nothing new except the words we use...
